Grand Europe Adventure 2024 - Steckborn, Switzerland
After months of meticulous planning and research, my family is finally off on our first ever grand adventure in Europe, visiting Switzerland and Italy for three weeks. It is both exciting and nerve recking to travel with our 18-month old toddler, and it will be a fun learning experience for everyone in the family.
Our first stop is Steckborn, a municipality in Frauenfeld District in the canton of Thurgau in Switzerland. It is a beautiful quiet town which is perfect as our first pitstop to relax and adjust to the time zone difference before venturing to other cities in our itinerary.
During our short three-day stay, we visited the local farm, toured Zurich, took a boat ride to Germany, and sampled lots of delicious cuisine while drinking lots of cappuccino to stay awake during the day. Surprisingly, our little brave toddler adjusted to the time zone fairly quickly and was game to try everything, exploring every nook and cranny at every location while we see her grow up so fast right in front of our eyes in this short timespan.
