steve! for the character thing!
Thanks for the ask!
Give me a character!
Steve 💙
How I feel about this character:
I love him so so much! He’s actually my favorite Marvel character. I relate to him a lot in terms of how he compartmentalizes and responds to stress. I love that he believes in people first and foremost and that, despite how many times he’s been let down, he never gives up.
All the people I ship romantically with this character:
Honestly, just Tony and Thor, I’ve recently grown quite fond of shipping him in a relationship with Thor). I don’t dislike Peggy/Steve or Sharon/Steve but they’ve never really appealed to me to the extent that I got a lot of joy out of reading more about them. They’re canon ships I’m fine with. I also didn’t hate pairing him with Jan in Ultimates but that ended in disaster. Oh, and I actually liked what I saw of Gail.
My non-romantic OTP for this character:
Sam and Bucky. I love their relationships and how Steve relates to them in completely different ways. I love the complexity of his friendship with Carol. I love his friendships with Jan, Wanda and Pietro. I love his complicated friendship with Clint. I also love how much he and Thor believe in each other.
If I have to pick one, I guess I’ll pick Sam.
My unpopular opinion about this character
Hmmm, well fandom doesn’t seem very fond of him as of late so I don’t know what there’s any unpopular opinion I can give.
Maybe: Steve Rogers believes in people and what America can be, not America as it is. A lot of people misconstrue his hope and idealism for blind patriotism and it drives me nuts. It’s the go to insult when someone wants to criticize Captain America and whenever I see it, it’s a sure fire way to tell me “this person has never read a Captain America comic book in their life.”
One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon.
For MCU, it’s obvious: I hate that ending.
For 616, I wish they’d let him be friends with Tony again without constant fighting and insults between them. Namely, I wish the comics would stop orchestrating dramatic plots for them to fight and disagree with each other. But, I don’t see that happening any time soon.
For what it’s worth, I have enjoyed what Coates has done with his character in his run of Captain America.
I just saw a post with someone referring to Steve as "Captain Fuck the System" and I just that's the best thing

has anyone told steve rogers about music videos
friendly reminder that it's almost steve rogers' birthday
(1/3) It was a bright day as he come to Natasha's place, the day they were going to be going and looking at apartments together because it was something that meant a lot to Steve. It had been countless nights spending the night at one place or the other when they oils have been together. He uses his key and opens the door, smiling as he starts to call out before the thick metallic smell of blood hits him and he's floored as a sick shot of fear rips through him.
Send me your muse's reaction to being the first to discover my muse's dead body.
