you were born half a god, my love-- divinity runs reluctant in your blood. stars watch over you with something close to interest, and sunlight pools around you like mud puddles after a storm. you were born half a god, my love-- enough for history books and whispered legends enough for battlefields and museums enough for pantheons and pedestals and masoleums    it's too bad, isn't it? it's really a shame that half a god was never enough-- not enough to leave your fate in your hands not enough to grant you victory when you wanted it most not enough to save you from the sun-drenched free fall
