03/11/19 - Guadalupe Mountains National Park, TX - STEEP STAIRS - I remember making a water stop at the Visitors Center here during the first half of my 48-State bike ride in 2016 and making a mental note to come back sometime. Now we’re back and this National Park has not disappointed. This picture of Jacque is unusual because it actually captures the steepness of the hiking trail: usually, why I don’t know, photographs tend to flatten out the terrain when compared to the actual steepness you are seeing with the naked eye. Hope we make it down this thing in one piece.
