just watched the Scott Pilgrim anime. love that shit. good thing I don’t have to worry about having 7 evil exes; all if not most of mine live in different universes, and plus, I only have 5 exes and no more than 4 are evil at any given time

*Stella finally sits up after laying in the cemetery for what seems like hours, cracking her back.* “This was fun, but how long can you fondle grave dirt before it counts as morally wrong?” *She slowly stands, dusting herself off.* “There’s a lot of people out there. People I think I know that have no idea who I am, but also the opposite. Like Johnny, he’s 45 in my universe but he looks the same here; like a washed up 60 year old. Even Luci doesn’t recognize me. And I haven’t even really seen Bruce… and I’m starting to miss my family. I wonder if I taught Cass to read in this world, too… I need an expert. I know exactly who to seek.” *She walks to her car, drives to the airport, and takes one of Bruce’s private jets back to Gotham.*
the masculine urge to disappear into the woods and become one with the fae
”Dirt has always been grounding for me. I know, statement of the year, but… it really is. Feeling dirt under my nails, between my fingers…” *Stella’s laying in the dirt, and squeezes handfuls of dirt into her hands.* “It’s always been there for me when nobody else was. This universe is different but the basis is the same. Same water, same dirt, same air, same fire. Same you. I’m honestly not even sure who I’m talking to, maybe it’s just myself. I know you bugged the suit and have a tracker in me, Bruce. Well, maybe a different Bruce put them in but I know you can access them. Maybe I’m talking to you? I know I didn’t play a real role in this universe, but still…” *She takes then releases a deep breath.* “Dirt. Even here, this horrible dirt, this horrible place, it’s the only place that still feels exactly the same. The only place I have anybody in this universe who I know backs me wholly and proudly no matter what.” *She stares into the sky for a moment, gathering her thoughts.* “The smell of home never changes. It’s a nice change from Gotham, the smog capital. Perhaps I’m talking just to the trees of my homeland? The grass under my hands and the worms under my body? Who could possibly know? Not me. I’m just a fucked up girl looking for her own peace of mind. But how many curveballs can you let life throw before you want to just give up? How many times can you fold your ore before it reverts to iron? How many times can you get caught up in some fucked up superhero shit before you snap? I guess that’s what this break is.” *She sighs, then tries breathing deeply again.* “I know exactly who I’m talking to. The only people who I know back me. My parents. But you’re dead. Even here. And there’s nothing I can ever do…” *She continues to lay in the graveyard, her head between her parents’ tombstone and her brother’s, mulling over her thoughts.*
“Test results are in…”
Stella looks anxiously as a paper prints from the fax machine at the little office in Gotham where she’s been working as a janitor. The whole Court of Owls and she managed to get the single 9-5. “What sort of shit luck is this. First that bullshit, now these results… it’s time to disappear. I legitimately can’t take this anymore. This explains everything but everything still hurts. I am not from this universe. That’s why nobody seems to care, the me from here was apparently a lot more antisocial but… it still hurts. I need to get the hell out of here…”
And then she leaves, wordlessly, away from everything. Away from that office, away from the Court, away from this version of her family and friends and enemies, as untraceable as possible.
ooc - I have to wake up in 4 hours and if my inbox is empty when I wake up I will make a completely incomprehensible post about it
ciao for now, cow
who i am
wsg folks my name is Stella. i'm 19 and genderfluid. i might not be Bruce's favorite, and I might not have the most creative backstory, and I might have no redeeming qualities. but at least i have a spleen and permission to be in the kitchen.
edit: i recently learned I’m apparently from a different universe, and that explains a lot. So if you have any questions for me, I’ll answer! Don’t be scared to ask stupid questions, my inbox is wide open.
(ooc): this is an OC roleplay account! I roleplay as one of Bruce Wayne's kids, the same age as Tim and Cass. you'll figure the backstory out eventually. interacting is open. secret identity: @definitelynotawayne
now playing: A Pearl - Mitski
