Honestly the funniest part is all the people being like “there’s a browser extension!” even though it doesn’t even actually show the real numbers it just estimates

Hi, I just wanted to clarify, I wasn't trying to brush off what you said or anything or make you feel like I was ignoring your advice. I truly do appreciate your input and caution about my anxiety but I swear I was just overselling it on accident, I definitely know my limits with things so I wouldn't even be considering watching it if I wasn't already mostly sure I would be able to handle it. I just wanted to make sure I wasn't misreading it, and knew you had at least seen some of it so you would have a better idea about it. I do know some of the major stuff that happens so I'm not going in completely unaware
Hey absolutely no worries! I didn’t get that vibe. You know your limits better than I do obviously I just wanted to ensure you knew what was up!
I promise its not as bad as it sounds!!!! I appreciate your concern very much but I promise my anxiety about it isn't as bad as I must be making it sound. I can still watch dark shows I just don't like them rn because I've just been very newly emotional lately so I've been looking for more (relatively speaking) lighthearted shows with like adventure/romance/etc. I promise I can still handle death or violence I might just cry a bit!! This just seems like an anime with a normal amount of conflict/darkness vs the ones I've been watching that have very minimal amounts of both
Haha okay pal! Take care 😌
Thank you very much for your insight, I may watch it afterall. Its not so much that I can't handle bad things happening/seeing them its more like when anime just like introduce a bunch of characters and then kill them off or torture them with bad situations for fun basically. (I've been avoiding Chainsawman for that reason). I've been watching Frieren lately and I've been insanely paranoid and stressed that something horrible is about to happen at any second because I'm just so used to anime killing off beloved characters etc with alot of these recent popular anime
I will say that of the main cast, no one dies (permanently at least) but if your anxiety is that bad then you’ll want to stay away. I hope you can work through those anxieties as I do think this manga is worth it but you might need some support beforehand.
So I've been kind of wanting to watch Dungeon Meshi but I've become very sensitive to dark anime where people die a lot or have horrible things happen and such. I can't really tell if this is that kind of show or not though (i know some bad stuff happens at least but idk if it's like a Theme TM of the show or not) Do you have any thoughts?
I would say that it's an 80/20 split (or less even tbh) of funny/lighthearted to dark. This episode that just came out is probably as dark as the show/manga gets until the final battles.
However I will say that while the tone of the manga/anime is lighthearted, it is still catered towards a more adult audience. If someone gets stabbed, you're like going to see them get stabbed. For me personally I find that still images can be less triggering, so maybe give the manga a spin first and then decide if you want to try the anime. It's an incredibly faithful adaptation.
