whole lotta project parable tidbits :3
- all of them are disconnected from the gender binary; seeing as grace is the only one truly from earth, he's just now beginning to dissect his relationship with it. i think he should be in skirts. i say like a normal man
- addendum to the above: stannarrator are disconnected from "being human". it's easy for them to understand each other, you could say they are complete because they are paired. but, to others, they don't feel like they adequately portray themselves as a person. stanley in particular, healthy or not, tries to embrace this and uses he/it pronouns, alongside his nametag generating as a number. but the narrator HATES being dehumanized
- stanley's heart socks 100% match his boxers i don't GAF anymore
- narrator's body can change! hair, eyes, body type, sex, the whole shabang. he's got a few weird and probably (definitely) physics-breaking quirks leftover. though, he does like contrasting stanley and thus has wavy hair and a shorter but plumper build (tada!!!)
- due to above, narrator's got a bit of a power imbalance with stanley, since his narration is the only familiar pull for action around him. but he eventually sees the sheer amount of buttons in the control room and starts learning which does what. scruff him though. don't let him jettison the tank out of curiosity.
- stannarrator don't need to eat, but they make up for energy depletion by entering sleep mode; it's kinda creepy actually cuz they don't need to lay down to do it. they're also lowkey still immortal at the cost of narrator amnesia from the "last run". they don't try any deadly stunts because of it—imagine forgetting your friends because you were stupid enough to suffocate or something
- grace kinda reminds stanley of the narrator. mostly the rambling and dedication to things, as stanley doesn't see himself as either of the two. makes him comfortable enough to hang around the guy. grace thinks he's a just a BIT of a weirdo because stanley doesn't talk much, but he's otherwise fun and does actually listens to grace talk
- rocky is. kinda uneasy around stannarrator. they seem like anomalies, if you will. some of their insides lie dormant until they serve an expressionary purpose, like an actual story character come to life, and they sound artificial if you listen just right. he gets used to it, but it was probably whiplash at first when someone stopped breathing to sleep
- narrator and grace have an awkward relationship at first. mostly because of competitiveness on the narrator's side; the parable's never really had someone of the same intellectual caliber that HE'S often interacted with. so he doesn't want to be stupid and dumb in front of a Real Guy with a phd. meanwhile grace doesn't want to offend the first chatty, principled guy he's seen in... well. like 4 years.
- the "mission patch" on stannarrator's jumpsuits. i wanted to give some references :) the leaves is REALLY simplified fern. the 8 is a ref to the demo of tsp, but it's also a bit like an infinity sign, alongside the text and the looping arrow. lotsa lotsa stuff packed in this bad boy [smacks the narrator's fat ass as i walk by]
- i really, really want to make it so the settings character had smth to do with that emblem... just saying... we must keep the wheel turning or whatever the hell...
