Imagine if the transformation from human to vampire in Sinners was just a little bit slower...

Once bitten, it's too late for them. Over the course of a few hours (or days depending on resistance), the victim can feel their body changing; teeth sharpening, an insatiable hunger clawing in the pit of their stomach. An invading voice in their head telling them to feed.

And when they finally do give into their bloodthirsty urges, they feel an overwhelming sense of pleasure--perhaps that voice in their head praising them; telling them they did a good job--that every meal will always feel like that as long as they give in.

many things fucked up about this scene, stack and remmick being draped over each other in a way mirroring the married couple is a definitely underexplored fucked-up thing.

that stemmick scene is tapeworm of the brain 🧠 for me just just fucking eating away at my grey matter.

THAT PROPRIATERY ARM THROWN OVER HIM (it would have been so easy to have it the other way around but it isn't!), the way stack pulls remmick a little closer when talking about having seen his memories. THAT soft sweet look he gives him that remmick can't even see, remmick - eyes enormous and mouth slack moving out of the way - then moving together in a way that's nearly as seamless as smoke and stack- and deferring to stack as he steps in to speak with his brother.
