Today was a huge step forward in my creative endeavors.
**Thank you to my brother for helping me out with all of this.**
As of today, I now have the tools (computers) necessary to get back into writing/recording music, creating digital art, revisiting my backlog of PC games, and also experimenting with some PC related passive income ideas.
Now that I've typed that out, I am realizing how much time I will soon be dedicating towards sitting in a chair, by myself, in front of screens. Honestly though...it's not like I haven't been doing that for years already lol. Thankfully I do have other goals in life away from computers, too. One step at a time, though!
Although I feel like I've been here before in a similar spot many years ago, I feel so much more prepared and available for it this time around. No more college taking my time and energy, no more shitty boss to destroy my motivation, no roommates to babysit anymore... nothing holding me back from pursuing what I want to pursue. What a massive relief to be at this stage. This has been a long time coming.
For the first time ever, really, I feel like I am in full control of my life. Crazy to say it took 33 years for me to get here, but here I am. Better late than never, right?
A few weeks ago, I had almost 7,000 emails in my Gmail inbox. Multiple years worth of emails (newsletters, subscription updates, etc.) I didn’t have time to address throughout college, post-injury stress, and working full time.
Today, I finished going through ALL of them. Now I’m down to 35 emails in my inbox I am intentionally keeping for records purposes.
Crossing off an item on my “catching up on life” list feels good. There are plenty more things I need to catch up on still, but it’s a reassuring start. I already feel like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders. Just knowing that feeling of needing to catch up on something I’ve been stressing over for YEARS is gone now is a massive relief.
Tomorrow’s project will be cleaning out my cell phone. Aside from deleting some apps along the way, I haven’t cleaned out my cell phone even once since I got it 2.5 years ago. Should be fun.
If I find anything interesting, I’ll be sure to share :P
