So I had a doctor’s appointment today. My doc thinks I should try therapy due to my depression and anxiety. I’m considering it. Do any of you out there do therapy? Any input to help me out on what to decide?
To all who start school soon
Good luck my friends! I hope school goes easy on you and doesn't stress you too much!
can't believe Destiny gave me my newest blorbo
Pretty sure the Gale Dekarios to Louis "Lodi" Yero blorbo pipeline is a straight line.
You know, the more I think about Lodi's story, the more I hate the Nine.
The lore from the collector's edition speaks of him having freaky dreams and sleepwalking episodes in the days leading up to The Phone Call. And all I'm hearing in that is:
"We found this guy who has had Service to Higher Authorities drilled into him from a young age - self-sacrificing perhaps to the point of martyrdom - and we've spent the last week grooming him into being our spokesperson."
So these extradimensional beings rip him away from everyone he's ever known and loved, and he keeps insisting, "Oh I wanted to help, I wasn't scared, I chose this," but did he? Did he? Or was it all the illusion of choice to satisfy what the Nine want? (Which, as far as I'm aware, is for our Guardian to protect them from whatever bigger fish wants to eat them.)
Even III's "you're here so I wouldn't die alone," while touching, is still selfishness.
And the way IX speaks to/about him is downright creepy, definitely sexual harassment territory. The massive gap in their power dynamic alone is horrifying and r@pey, not funny like the fandom seems to have decided or the game tries to spin it. It's awful. It makes my skin crawl.
I dunno, y'all. He lost his family, his life, and, in a lot of ways, his agency and bodily autonomy. But it's okay because he said he wanted to help the aliens he didn't understand, right? That's supposed to make it all better?
At least his will is still his own, because sometimes it feels like that's all he has left.
Really hope at the end of this narrative arc in 10 years he sticks it to 'em.
I haven't played D2 in a while but I'm not exactly hiding from EoF spoilers (because the bestie needs somebody to holler at/with) and all I gotta say is:
If Lodi were a woman, the way IX talks to/about him would be immediately panned.
Super powerful entity on par with a god harassing (even sexually harassing) a mortal who didn't even ask to be here?
That shit's gross and it's not funny. Stop it.
I finished CP77 last night.
don't talk to me, don't look at me, don't touch me.
i am unwell.
