Queerstake Christmas Prayer Request Thread

Hey friends!

Christmas can be a tough time of year for a lot of us, so I wanted so start a thread to gather everyone’s prayer requests. Some of you are about to go spend time with unsupportive families, shoving yourselves into the closet, listening to homophobic comments, or being misgendered repeatedly. Whether you need strength, patience, peace, a reminder that you are loved, or have no idea what you need but you need SOMETHING. Whatever your context, Queerstake is here for you.

Please either:

I saaaawwwwww. I’m excited to see where he takes it, actually. And I’m glad they found someone quickly, because the fact that we’ve never had a Freddy Mercury biopic is criminal, and what we’ve seen so far of Rami Malek, at least as far as how he’s physically captured Mercury’s look, it would be an absolute shame if this had died from Singer being his usual asshat self.

December can be a tough time of year for a lot of people, with mental health and financial struggles and isolation, so if you need anyone I AM HERE FOR YOU. completely. If you need a friendly chat, and online christmas card, or support and someone to listen, I am here. People will care for you and want to help you. I promise you’re not alone this holiday season, and you’re so strong for being here. I’m so happy you made it to December. You are strong for being here. ❄️

reminder: try not to forgive someone just for the good memories you have with them or base it on how much they mean to you. are they being sincere? are they making genuine efforts to change their behaviour? do they respect you? how do they act when you aren’t there? someone’s permanence in your life doesn’t mean they won’t hurt you again. it’s a hard thing to do and accept, but forgiving and forgetting might not always solve the problems at hand. always remember to try and do what’s going to be best for you at any given moment, and I promise you won’t ever regret that investment in your happiness!!! 🌻
