Curses. Wardens. Order. These Titans were all the same; he was beginning to understand why Zeus had led his siblings in casting them down. He remembered Hecate's words well, but he could only empathize with the man so far; instead content to stew in his own matter of discontent. Stephanos had returned just as Adam was steadfast in his belief that the son of the crossroads would always find his way home.
In the late evening hours, washing the dishes was the very least that Adam could do. Tidying up after dinner was part of his ritual, especially given how much effort Stephanos put into all the meals he prepared for them. Hands in warm, sudsy water as he turned the cloth around the surface of one of the plates, rinsing, then setting it to the side to hand-dry it after he was done. Back in Vancouver, the sink in his apartment was never empty, never gross either, but he'd never taken the time to do something like clean to the full extent that was often necessary.
Here. though, Adam had noticed a while back that everything he didn't do ended up being done by someone else down the road. He didn't want that either, so a more conscientious effort on his part had come about naturally and without much of a second thought on the matter. From the dish water, to his reflection in the windowpane: Adam's eyes caught sight of Stephanos in the doorway, and though he didn't turn toward him, he met his reflection there before reaching for another dish. “Trying to sneak up on me?" Adam asked before dipping a mug into the suds, looking back up at the reflection as he grabbed the cloth again, “Or admiring the view?”
