...If he hollers, let him go. Eenie-meenie-miny-moe. My mother said, pick the perfect one, and...you...are...it.

R.I.P. Stephen Hibbert
Remembering Stephen Hibbert and Alan Trustman
Here is my combined remembrance of two entertainers we lost this week:
Remembering Stephen Hibbert 1960-2026
Actor / comedian / writer Stephen Hibbert has died at 68. He was married to SNL alum Julia Sweeney from 1989-1994 and through her he co-wrote with her, It's Pat: The Movie based on her androgynous character. Quentin Tarantino did an uncredited re-write on that screenplay (surprising, but true). In addition to casting Sweeney in Pulp Fiction as Monster Joe's daughter Raquel, QT cast Hibbert as The Gimp. In that scene, Hibbert was covered head-to-toe in S&M leather, so no one ever knew who it was. This news comes only a few months after the passing of Peter Greene who played Zed in that disturbing scene.
Hibbert as The Gimp in Pulp Fiction
Hibbert also did some writing on Late Night with David Letterman in the 80s and had small parts in Mike Myers' films like Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery and Cat in the Hat, in addition to being a script doctor on Austin Powers and Shrek.

Remembering Alan Trustman 1930-2026
Screenwriter Alan Trustman has died at 95. A Boston native, he wrote two of Steve McQueen's best movies: The Thomas Crown Affair and Bullitt. The former was remade in 1999 (not as good) and the later had one of the best car chase scenes in movie history!
