Garudio Studiage
The four unique personalities create a whimsical and unconventional visual experience in "Garudio Studiage".
1. Hannah Havana Heels on Wheels
2. Hats created for the V&A Museum's "Hats: An Anthology by Stephen Jones" catwalk event.
(Flat Cap) wearable tower block hat
3. "Wildlife of London" tote bag, featuring the slightly quirky creatures of London.
4. Flat Pets
5. A performance by Put Out The Bin, an external unit of Hannah & Joseph Yolk.
When asked about how it all started, Laura explained that Chris and Anna met while pursuing their master's degrees at Camberwell School of Art, and Hannah and Laura met while pursuing their master's degrees at the Royal College of Art (RCA). They became friends because they had the same repeat client who lived in the same neighborhood. The catalyst for them starting to work together more seriously was, "A landlord offered to let us use his garage as a silkscreen workshop, and that's where it all began. It was a space with car parts scattered around, covered in dust, and even had a hole in the ceiling, but we were so grateful to be able to continue creating because we had no money. Oh, and a family of cats lived there too!" The collective's name is actually a play on words, referring to this studio, Garage Studio.

Garudio Studinge is a collective based in Peckham, a neighborhood in South London that's not exactly known for its cool atmosphere. The group consists of four individuals: Chris Ratcliffe, who primarily works with silkscreen prints; painter Anna Walsh; and jewelry designers Laura Cave and Hannah Havana—a rather unusual combination. In parallel with their individual projects, they collaborate on original products and displays, and their appeal lies in their laid-back humor and the unconventional sensibility that arises from the differences in their respective fields of expertise.
"I think that creativity becomes a part of life itself, and in our case, it's especially fun to be able to participate in various projects through friends. We regularly hold events with Peepshow, Andy Forshaw, and Lapland Industries from Sweden. And Put Out The Bin, a collective that combines costume art and dance by Hannah and Joseph Yolk, is also a great partner! Put Out The Bin's slightly playful visual style is a perfect fit for us, and their performances are perfect for exhibition openings and events!" They also say they would love to try working in Japan in the future. We hope to see the unconventional visuals born from Peckham as soon as possible.
