iamaj: It’s been almost a year since Aly and I recorded this soon to be delivered album. Living in Topanga together, working with Jonathan, welcoming a new soul into the world. All of this hits me hard as I reminisce about this time as a family. We’ve put out a lot of music over the years but something about this record feels different. Like we’re forging a new path. As sisters, as creatives. I’ve never felt more rooted in what we’re doing. The coolest thing about the making of this album, was the welcoming of baby Jack. This will forever be imprinted in my heart. #silverdeliverer

iamaly: Happy 10 year wedding anniversary baby. Feel so blessed to have spent the last 2 weeks in the same country we said our I Dos (which I remember just like yesterday) ….and now with our latest addition by our side. We love you so much @ auhasardspr ….never quite enough words to express just how deeply, but these pictures do a pretty good job

iamaly: Jack Francis Michalka-Ringer was born at 6:40 am on April 21st at 6 lbs 10 ounces.

It’s the honor of my life you chose me as your Mama

We brought you into the world in our living room as morning birds sang for your arrival outside our window. I caught you in my hands surrounded by the best team thanks to our midwife @ innatemidwiferysb our doulas @ ivyjoeva and @ bamboomary and our loyal guardian @ bixbyofthehouseofblackandwhite, standing watch. Most importantly your dada, my husband and champion @ auhasardspr was with me every step of the way, and gave me the reassurance I was meant to be a Mother💓

We could not have had this experience without @ birthingblyss @ doctorberlin @ ombabydoula and @ clearmindhypnotherapy, all helping us find the birth Jack had already chosen. Women all over the world have for thousands of years been giving life in their own unique ways and I was able to call on my ancestors who for generations have demonstrated courage that brought me to this moment.

Thank you Mama, thank you Grandma Betty & Grandma Carmen. Thank you for your stories and for giving me life so that I could experience this kind of love 💕 And thank you to my family for supporting me these past months first and foremost Auntie @ iamaj who Jack already loves so much.

We’ve been enjoying every minute with our baby boy these past weeks and we can’t help but marvel at this miracle we were given.

Named for his great grandfather, my grandfather, a kind man whose spirit and gentle disposition lives on through him.

Francis, for Stephen’s family, for two of his filmmaking heroes Francis and Francois, for his godmother, may he inherit the kindness towards animals his name implies.

My lil Dandelion, may the early mornings by the ocean as the animals awaken always bring you the comfort you’ve brought to us. Thank you for working so hard to make our birth experience together so beautiful. You are so strong, curious, and soulful. I love how you have such a special relationship with the sunshine. I love everything about you. Jack, you are already our favorite face 🌼
