Tony Gilroy to Write Pilot for New “Star Wars” Series

Tony Gilroy, co-writer for Rogue One, is returning to the Star Wars universe. Gilroy will write the pilot for a Disney+ series following Rogue One’s Cassian Andor and will also direct several episodes of the series. The series will take place before the events of Rogue One.

Stephen Schiff serves as showrunner. Diego Luna is said to be reprising his role as Andor and Alan Tudyk is said to be returning as K-2SO.

Variety broke the news.
