An Attorney for the family of a Black freshman at Stephen F. Austin University says she was the victim of a racist "swatting" setup by her white roommates that led to police bursting into her dorm room, guns drawn at 3am while she slept. #ChristinEvans, a 17 year old freshman and Cheerleader at #StephenFAustinStateUniversity in #Texas, woke up in the middle of the night on September 14th to police in her dorm room with guns drawn. Christin Evans' roommates filed a false report stating that she threatened to stab someone, a harassment tactic known as "swatting". 3 white roommates along with 7 other girls, initiated the “swatting” by telling their RA that Christin Evans was trying to attack them. They falsely accused Christin of having scissors and threatening to stab people. The RA then called campus police. Attorney Randall Kallinen stated, "This could have been a #BreonnaTaylor circumstance."
