realizing that a lot of the merit StepmaniaX has is just because it doesn't have any unlock systems and every song and difficulty is available at the start. konami reeeeally likes to insert dark patterns into their progression systems and then lock good content behind it, and everyone else just kind of followed the leader on it. like have you tried to play Dancerush without an account and like half of the song list is unavailable. it's bad
