09/16/20 Oh ya my weekend couldn’t come fast enough this week. That’s why I love my work schedule I only work two days in a row the always have at least one day off. Today I put on the gloves. I worked the heavy bag for about ten minutes just messing around and getting the feel of the gloves, the heavy bag and how we respond to each other. I learned very quickly that I need to learn how to move with the bag and respond to its reactions to my punches. I am going to commit to hitting the heavy bag on Sunday’s which will be the day I ride my bike to the gym and will obviously be a high cardio day. I will need to go high carb as well so that I can remain in high energy and to sustain my workouts. Sunday’s are going to be awesome I’m getting excited just by planning and talking about it. I’m going to take some video as well so I can watch myself as I hit the heavy bag and can learn some techniques, get some rhythm and get some foot work. Just for kicks go back and rewatch Rocky 3 when Apollo Creed had to teach Rocky to learn how to train and prepare for his rematch with Clubber Lang. That’s me trying to hit the heavy bag for the first time today. Crazy huh but I’m stoked I get to learn something new and I get to do something I love while doing it and that’s working out. I am going to focus more on how I can align my day with doing the things that make me feel alive and energized. You’d think I would have done this since I learned to walk and talk but no unfortunately not. Fuck it so why not now at the age of 46, am I right? Hell ya I am right now after reading this go do something that you love to do and that makes you feel alive and energized then come back to this blog and tell me about it!
