SO, i’ve gotten several comments saying things along the lines of my versions of Hux and Ren have separate personality quirks or whatnot that makes them seem more realistic and differentiates them from each other. And I was curious as to what ya’ll find those quirks or habits are?
I hope you feel better soon. :c Thanks so much for answering my questions! You did sort of inadvertently answer what I was trying to ask on that second question. I was curious as to whether or not it was Kylo or Snoke that orchestrated the destruction of Luke's Jedi school. The way he put it to Hux, I thought that memory might have been one of his blank spaces where he wasn't entirely sure of what happened.
It wasn’t an orchestrated event, no. And its not a blank space so much as a memory that is very very fuzzy. I’m hoping to delve more into Kylo’s psyche in part 2 as well Hux’s past so i don’t think i should go into too much detail about how Kylo thinks but it was an all accident lol. I just spent ten minutes writing this answer becuase i kept wanting to describe Kylo’s issues in the steps universe O.o
Writing is hard :(
and I may be feeling better. its hard to tell really. But thank you :)
First off, I love your fic and I can't wait for the next update. I had two questions about it that are killing me with curiosity though. One - At what point in his life do you think Hux decided he wanted to be Emperor, and did that decision have any relation to what happened between him and his father? Two - Kylo tells Hux at one point that for years he'd thought he'd killed his uncle and the other Jedi trainees. Does that mean that Snoke pulled a Scar and tricked him into thinking he did it?
I’m glad you enjoyed my fic, hopefully i’ll start updating it in a week or so - im sick so my ability to produce readable stuff is minimal at best :/
Spoilers below ze cut!
I plan to answer your first question in detail at some point in the second series, i plan to explore more of Hux’s background, but yes. it does have to do with what happened between Hux and his father.
As for your second question Kylo had assumed he killed everyone that day, he didn’t realize yet that he could feel Luke’s presence through the force/he didn’t recognize that presence for what it was. Snoke wouldn't have told Kylo that he had killed Luke because Snoke wouldn’t have known for sure if he had or hadn’t. And Kylo wouldn’t ask for confirmation becuase he would have been too afraid of being sent back to kill Luke if he was still alive.Besides that Snoke later had most of the map leading to Skywalker and Kylo was still rather loyal to the Supreme Leader so clearly learning that SKywalker still lived didn’t rock his faith in his teacher.
I don’t know how to explain this without getting into a bunch of detail about how Snoke’s powers work in the Step’s universe - detail that i would love to put in the second part but i’m not sure how i would go about doing so just yet. EH, i’ll figure it out.
I spent so long thinking through the second answer that now i think it might be a bunch of gibberish and I don’t know if I even answered the question O.OLemme know it if was helpful, or you want more clarification? Goodness.
