Building a new Versailles/Schönbrunn-inspired Palace
Decided to build a fusion palace of Versailles and Schönbrunn (Versailles on the outside, schönbrunn/versailles mix on the interior)
AnniQ and Stereo91's Versailles set has made this possible! (And a few private recolours I did of Felixandre's and AnniQ&Stereo91's CC)
I'm actually quite proud of this fusion of the Tuileries, Schönbrunn's Grand Gallery, and Versailles' hall of mirrors - I reinterpreted the old layout of Versailles, with an antechamber/salon entered through the Hall of mirrors in place of the 1701 Louis XIV State Bedchamber.
Coming off of this Antechambre, you enter a Council chamber, and then on the other side a nobles salon before you enter the King's bedchamber - I took alot of inspiration from the Queens Nobles salon at versailles for the colour and Layout here (Thanks to Marble mortal, golden sanctuary sims, and Cliffou09 for some of the CC in here)
The King's bedchamber will probably have some rework, but I'm quite happy with the alcove I've formed and have framed with caryatids - I need to make a domed ceiling that fits this specific room since the flat ceiling doesn't give it enough grandeur.
On the ground floor, directly under the great gallery and it's antechambre, there is the entrance halls, with a versailles-like multicolour marble foyer section at the front and back, and a more rococo cream marble lobby between them.
Coming off of this entrance hall, there are the apartments of the Heir (unsure whether to call them an Archduke/Archduchess or a Dauphin/Dauphine. The antechambre isn't too special, but I do like the Schonbrunn style red damask Turkish room, especially the vibrant damask.
This corner music room is essentially a copy of the Mesdames corner salon in Versailles (I get so much inspiration for my builds from a book called Versailles : The great and hidden splendours of the Sun King's Palace (Catherine Pegard).
Just past this corner salon, I've made a small suite of private apartments in a Franz Joseph & Sisi style. This comprised 3 rooms, a Morning room with a breakfast table and seating area, the Bedroom with a prayer corner and beautiful stove. (Mesh by TheGoldenSanctuarySims, recolour by Lilis Palace), and a dressing room with adjoining study and water closet.
