A Sin So Divine || closed w/sterlingsilvertongue
Azerith watched from the balcony at his mentor and the stranger he claimed was his brother. Though he’d only heard about him through the whispers of others they didn’t seem to mesh with the familiarity the Sin had that man. However he wanted to trust Lust, he and Wrath taught him everything he knew, now he was consorting with a known enemy. Even though he had crossed lines in the past to get things done he was able to call in favors from ones to this day even caused the Demon to be surprised at the others reach.
He couldn’t hear them! This wasn’t right why was this happening? They were speaking about something very intense. Luxuria’s gestures appeared that he was telling the other he was not a threat. Yet the man kept looking at him in a way as if he’d seen a ghost. Did he know of him in some way or did he have some misguided thought that he, due to his position was angling to overthrow the Prince in some underhanded way? That would never happen, no matter what spoils were promised.
Lust would never turn against him either, he wasn’t like his other siblings he looked at things much differently than they did. That is what made him such a good teacher, mentor and even sometimes lover. Azerith was seething, this had gone on long enough. This guy comes in here flaunting his divinity and discrediting him. He was not going to allow that, not by a long shot.
Heading back in the direction of the balcony door Gage suddenly appeared between him and the door, the blond looked just as confused at being outside as the Demon did to see him.
“-the fuck, how did I get out here?” Gage said as he scratched his head.
“Excuse me,” Azerith began as he went to grasp the handle of the door.
It wouldn’t slide open!
“I was aiming for inside. I haven’t overshot like this in quite a while.” Gage said as an afterthought while noticing Azerith couldn’t open the door.
This was alarming, the door wouldn’t open but he could still see the two engaged in conversation. He tried to will himself inside the apartment, but what he got for his efforts was a weird bounce back effect. For that to happen was abnormal, trying again he wound up in the hallway. Fuck! Once back on the balcony he saw the Hound looking inside.
‘What is going on?’ Azerith mused to himself.
“You can’t get in either?” Gage inquired and by now noticed who was inside, then smiled, “Alex.”
This stopped Azerith from willing the glass to break because by this time he was really to make it rain glass shards in there. Suddenly Lust looked back, brought his hand up and shook his head in the negative. Looking over at Gage, “You know him?
“Yea that’s Lust’s brother and if the room is sealed that means there is something really heavy going on they need to discuss.” The young Hound said walking over to the balcony railing, hopping up to sit on it. Turning around, he sat and looked at the view, “He’s very cool, but their father wasn’t very happy with him.
Even without sound, Azerith could tell the mood had shifted in the room. Lust suddenly stepped back from the other as if he’d got news that was either shock or surprise. Turning from his brother the Sin locked eyes with Azerith on the other side of the glass then turned to face his the other again. He shrugged and brought up his hands in a questioning gesture. Lust looked up, giving a heavy visible sigh running his hands over his face and through his dark hair.
“Back soon, that warehouse is about to flashover,” Gage announced disappearing from the railing.
Suddenly the doors blew open causing Azerith to step back from them. In the same instance, he caught the end of Lust’s sentence and his voice sounded regretful.
“-so sorry.”
The Sin turned to face Azerith gesturing him inside, “There is something you need to hear, that I had no prior knowledge of. I am extremely remorseful that I was not made aware of something sooner. Azerith Napier, allow me to introduce you to my brother, Alexander Sterling, Eros, he has something that he wishes to say to you.”
Looking from one to the other he wasn’t sure where this was going because the atmosphere was crushing. What did he have to apologize for? Lust seemed composed but the way his arms were folded it was clear he was about to do something that was going to result in copious amounts of bloodshed and lives lost. This bothered Azerith a great deal as he went to step closer to the Sin certain that this stranger he’d just introduced him to was the cause for his mentor's concern.
Normally he would’ve attacked by now, while he glared at the other, “What do you have to say that would be of any interest to me?”
Lust cut in, “Azerith, not now. I know what you are doing but as I said it’s unnecessary.”
What pleb level of Hell this? Lust asking him to stand down? This guy and his divine mind fuck trick was about to very sorry.
Once again in a very disinterested tone, he said with a shrug, “What?”
