Agent Stern is so fucking polite. And Duck Newton is so fucking polite. They both know when to not take any bullshit and be firm. Stern, to Ned over not being a help. And Duck about forest safety and protocols. And keeping promises.

Like. They're both a level of authority figures and know how to command respect when the situation calls for it, but otherwise seem to be nice guys. If Agent Stern weren't trying to pick at what Duck and the gang are keeping secret, it would be so much easier for Stern to woo Duck.
