. W społeczeństwie zbudowanym na pokoju wywoływanie masowego strachu zagrożeniem politycznym, socjologicznym, ekologicznym, naukowym czy kulturowym jest w zasadzie niemożliwe. Jak dotąd żadne wysiłki nie okazały się wystarczająco skuteczne, by zadziałać na dłuższą metę. Najbliższa ideałowi była czarna śmierć, stanowiąca zagrożenie na globalną skalę. Jednak takie niebezpieczeństwo powstałe w nieznanych warunkach, nad którym kontrola byłaby niewielka lub wręcz żadna, nie miałoby praktycznego zastosowania. Poza tym trzeba wiedzieć, jak wszystko odwrócić. W końcu na tym to polega. Przerazić ludzi, by stali się posłuszni, a potem czerpać z ich strachu zyski. Najlepsze rozwiązania zawsze są proste. Stworzyć zagrożenie. Taki plan miał mnóstwo zalet.

Ok, so who has read the DG and Steve Berry Matchup? What did you think? As a HUGE Steve Berry and DG fan, I was pretty excited that Cotton Malone and Jamie Fraser were going to be sharing the pages. My hopes might have been too high. Neither character ended up “talking” in his own voice. I don’t want to give anything away incase you have not read it yet, but I did enjoy ... well, phooey. I can’t say. Anyway, what did you think if you have read it?
Also, go read Steve Berry’s Cotton Malone books. I’m not at all a spy/thriller book reader (well, except for Len Deighton), but Berry does so much research into the topic of his book, that I always end up learning some history, which I DO enjoy.
