A vid of Louis and a mysterious blonde (Steve Durham) at Barney's Beanery in LA, 19 April 2024 x (looks like the same night as this x)
i wonder what’s up w steve and why did he leave… he was not just a drummer but also involved in production so im guessing there’s a bigger reason
agree and it could be anything, I have definitely wondered if it was a personal matter and noticed that he doesn't engage with anything related to Louis anymore publicly that I know of But I have also wondered if it was BECAUSE he was the musical director. I looooved what he did with the sound and arrangements for FITFWT and the live album and reworking the old songs... but the thing is that they're doing something super different now with the sound and style and it seems pretty possible to me that his rockier based sound just didn't FIT with this era and album and tour concept. Maybe he left or was asked to for some other reason and they just took the chance to get someone whose style is more aligned with the different sound, but also maybe they were like so... we're gonna go in a different direction actually good luck out there
Louis fans need to understand that his main issues are his voice and his personality. More promo or more opportunities won’t change that. He’s stuck in a mess of toxic, cult-like fans, people who only see him as part of his old band, and solo fans who can’t stand either group. And they are decreasing in numbers.
And it doesn’t help that he comes across like a lone wolf in the music industry. I don’t see him having celebrity friends , attending other artists concerts, or inviting anyone to perform at his own shows. He’s never hanging out with other singers or making collaborative videos for social media. Even at his own festival, he never gets on stage with the artists he personally chooses to perform there. It’s all so strange. Maybe it’s because he can’t sing.
Louis is widely disliked in the music industry because he's crass and obnoxious with an arrogant personality. He's always looking for opportunities to mock and bully others, especially if they're not interested in partying with him, and his reputation has taken a steep dive just this year.
The story of how he hurt and upset his own drummer and music director so badly that the guy upped and left his band will have spread far and wide. No artist wants to get up and sing on stage with an abusive asshole.
inquiring minds gotta know
what is the reason steve is refusing to wear a shirt during the latam leg?
dryer ate them
amnesia but he only forgot that shirts existed/how to do laundry
he only packed hoodies/jackets/pullovers and didn’t have space for shirts
helene was in charge of stage clothes and “forgot” steve’s shirts
isaac asked for his shirts and nobody can say no to the band babygirl
odds
airport lost his luggage so he’s forced to rotate between 2 shorts and 1 top
louis stole them all for himself
environment conscious king not wanting to do laundry 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
smth in latam has made him allergic to shirts and only shirts (will go away)
giving the people what they want/making it everyone’s problem
other/results
for just a dollar a day you can donate to the “where are steve’s shirts?” fund
dancey dance + steve & louis fooling around during photo time 🤣
