Hi, I don’t think I’ve ever sent an ask to this blog (I lurk though) but I wanted to just say that I sent an ask into alarryblog about the heated rivalry guys because I’m genuinely so confused as to how they’ve managed to assume they’re dating. I literally cannot understand why these people believe they’re actually dating, it just doesn’t make sense to me. Surely this is some sort of mental illness? Also, these people make zero sense and clearly don’t understand the concept of friendship! Anyway, I’m just sending an ask here too to try figure out what the lore is behind this lol because idk if my ask to alarryblog will be answered (it was respectful, though, so, I don’t see why it wouldn’t? Maybe because I was somewhat questioning her haha. I had to lie and say I was new to the fandom to try prompt her to think it’s coming from a place of genuine curiosity from someone on her side lol) but yeah I’m seriously so confused.
Also, this is just random thoughts but, I feel like it would be better and more financially beneficial to heated rivalry if those two guys actually WERE dating? I feel like this is true for almost any piece of media which mainly focuses around romance? Like, I don’t understand why all these people think being gay in the industry still has the same taboo as it had a couple decades ago. The industry, from the outside, at least, has become somewhat more accepting of the LGBT+ community (or, has had to become more accepting) as the world has been getting more progressive, but, all these conspiracy theorists still think that being gay in Holywood is the worst thing that could happen to someone. So many viewers are a part of the LGBT+ community nowadays that I feel being gay can almost, at times, be more profitable (see queerbaiting as an example of this. Gay4pay😭)? Obviously I’m not saying being gay comes with zero struggles, it most certainly does, or that it’s solely profitable etc., I’m just saying that, in some very specific circumstances, such as heated rivalry, it would actually be better for the actors and the show itself if they actually were dating 😭.
Anyway, I don’t know if this makes any sense. I apologise if it doesn’t.. I’m very tired so I’m a bit woozy lol! I think my point is these people are really stuck in the past with how they think about the industry and refuse to see it for as it is (but maybe it’s because a lot of these people who still believe in Larry and stuff are old. Lol.). Sorry for all the yap!!!!!!!
(Also, I hope it doesn’t come across like I’m saying being gay in Holywood is a net positive / has solely positive results/consequences (I know it doesn’t!!!!). i apologise if it does come across as that! I’m not trying to offend anyone :) I’m just taking fandom specific here! Supernatural is another fandom that this could be related to.)
Alarrytale enrolled in the University of Tumblr in 2012 and was indoctrinated in various fallacies about the way PR and journalism work.
She believes all paps are sitting at home waiting to be called by celebrities, and if the celeb themselves seems angry or unhappy about the paps' presence, they're faking it. She thinks that real celeb couples move invisibly through life without being papped, but fake ones are papped a lot. This is why yesterday's photos triggered her into screeching 'Hudson is a gay man.'
She also believes that every closeted celebrity will employ a beard as a matter of course, so Katelyn has to be a beard. She's straight but is extremely arrogant and thinks she has infallible instincts when it comes to deciding if somebody is gay, just by looking at pictures and videos. She is actually clueless, however, and said very loudly last year that Tom Holland, Callum Turner and Travis Kelce were all gay and bearding and would never wed. They are all married now, of course!
