@shesnipes sent sender kisses receiver to show off for someone else. (to Bucky, showing off for Steve?)

She's up to something. Bucky knows her enough by now to know that by now but it's hard to focus on figuring out what she's up to when her lips are on his.

He is vaguely aware that Steve is in the room with them but it doesn't seem to matter when she's kissing him like this. He brings his hand up to cup her cheek, head tilting and when she deepens the kiss, he allows it.

Lips part and tongue entwines with tongue. He just barely seems to be able to hold back the groan he wants to let loss.

Steve, on the other hand, can't help but watch. He tries to look away, he really does, but when he sees the way the kiss deepens he can feel the way his heart flutters in his chest and the yearning to build. He wishes it was him kissing Bucky. Kissing her too. He'd managed to get in over his head with both of them, hasn't he?

Damn.

He should leave, give them time alone, he really should yet he remains frozen in place watching them.

“I’m sorry someone left you so scared.” Steve begins gently. He knows a thing or two about scars, mental mostly. He has no idea if her scars are mental or physically or perhaps both but he feels for her. 

Clearly something has jaded her and who can blame her, really? Sometimes Steve finds himself jaded by the world too. “Do you want to talk about it?”

“.....” What is she up to? Why is he picking colors? Eyes narrow at her in his suspicion, she’s going to make him pick - isn’t she? “Natasha, what are you up to?” Sighing, he weighs his options - what’s the worst she can do? “Blue....”

It’s all Steve has ever wanted to hear since he was that way too little punk in Brooklyn who’d fallen head over heels in love with his best friend. His heart flutters in his chest and his stomach does flips and suddenly it’s like he’s right back there when they were young and had no worries (mostly, Steve was still pretty sick). 

“.....I’ve been waiting to hear that for a long time, Buck.” Steve gives him a small smile and he wants to reach out, touch his cheek, or kiss him but he won’t. He respects Bucky’s boundaries too much for that and he knows the man is traumatized, has no idea what happened to him, he won’t risk triggering him. “I love you too. Always have. Ever since I was just some skinny punk.”

He doesn't believe that. Not for one single second. She's different than the others in this messed up corrupt group. Whatever's going on, it bothers her too. He's not alone in it and neither is she.

"Yes you do." Steve says firmly but not harshly. He wants her to know that she's not alone in this. That he isn't like the others that constantly hurt and even kill innocent people.

There is something rotten growing throughout this group, spreading like an illness, and he refuses to let it touch him. Homelander pisses him off, he wants nothing more than to punch that smug bastard and put him in his place.

But he's biding his time, waiting to strike, waiting to take Homelander down. Homelander is everything that Steve Rogers, Captain America, stands against. He won't let this continue for much longer.

"Let me help you, Maeve."

If you asked Steve if he'd be dancing with Loki before now, he might have laughed. The God hadn't exactly been on their side for a time there but he doesn't seem so bad now. Whatever happened, Loki isn't intent on destroying the world like he had been.

"Wait. I'm not sure I know how to dance." Steve tells her as he's grabbed by his hand and brought onto the dance floor. It doesn't look like she's giving him much choice so he sighs, but out of fondness rather than irritation. "You'll have to help me out here."

It’s not as if he’s never shared a bed with Bucky. There’s been multiple instances growing up that he’s shared a bed with his best friend. Steve recalls pretty harsh winters without a heater, curled up next to Bucky for warmth but something about this feels different. Steve’s not sure why - it just does.

But, Bucky insists they both share the bed and how can Steve argue with him? There’s no reason for him to be arguing with him, even if deep down he wants to protest because of the feelings that linger, that have always lingered. “Yeah, yeah. I know, Buck. I just wanted to give you your space.”

“Sorry, pal, guess you’re not alone anymore.” Steve says as he slides into a stool beside Scott. He can’t drink himself, does nothing for him, but at the very least - he can be a friend for Scott. Looks like he might need one. “If you wanna talk, I’m all ears. I’m told it helps to get it all out.”
