Conservative Evangelicals don't know what to do with strong women.
The Bible, btw, has no trouble. Jesus has no trouble. God made us, so He's cool with us.
But the white male preachers of evangelicalism get a little flaky about it all.

God always delights in what APPEARS to be weak.
Wait. First of all, we're all weak. So don't leave that on us women.
Secondly, if that's the case, why pick any man ever at all? Or any adult, for that matter? Just pick kittens and butterflies.
Her moniker, a woman of Lappidot, might mean that she's a "fiery woman."
But nah.... That can't be it. She's a WOMAN. She has to be weak. Yeah, that's it.
Weak.
