I adore this photo of Steve and Conny in costume (pre/post-performance?) with Christopher Lee. Lee was 6’5” and I know Steve doesn’t reach that measurement, but it’s hard to believe the 6 feet he claimed. Looks more like 6’2” or above to me when compared to Lee! My husband is 6’6”. So I do notice these things.
25 years ago today on July 21, 2001, this talented, wonderful man left us. Steve, you are loved and you enrich my life. But today I smile up at you through a veil of tears.

Rare and wonderful audio from a live performance of Gott ist tot from Tanz der Vampire. You won’t find this on YouTube. The tenderness in Steve’s voice, particularly when he addresses Sarah, is very moving.
