“Wait a minute - Token?”

Everyone’s talking about hot Token and I wanted to compare his aged-up design to his parents designs as I remembered his dad looking older. Steven Black has crows feet and forehead wrinkles while redheaded drinker Thomas Tucker does not. I like to think Matt and Trey/character design peeps simply became acquainted with the phrase “Black don’t crack” in the intervening years between designing Steven and older Token. It’s also funny to imagine Token getting really into Korean skincare or something.

Token seems to take after his mother more in terms of jaw shape and side profile. His nose seems like a combination of his parents’ noses in terms of width and nostril height but is longer and straighter than either of their noses. His hairline is similar to his father’s but with only minor recession. He is also hot.

I liked that he served as a kindhearted and competent liaison between the groups throughout the special. Token has always had a sort of open earnestness to him that I find endearing. He and Wendy have that in common and their interactions are so wholesome. His combat dialogue with her in TFBW was so funny to me for that reason - he was such a respectful simp for her lol

edit: @convex-lens pointed out in the replies that this aged-up Token may be modeled after the protagonist in Tenet which seems correct to me, so I’ve added a pic of the Tenet guy. He is also hot. Thank you for your time.
