Do you remember when Greg asked Garnet if Steven would be okay?
Let’s think about it.
He didn’t have to ask Garnet of all gems, but Rose had told him in “We Need To Talk”, that if he was ever afraid of the future, to talk to Garnet. It’s a nice touch.
Anyways, he asks Garnet about the future, and she responds with “Steven will be fine”.
Note that she had hesitation and a pause when she said that. It sounded less certain and more fear than anything. “Steven...will be fine”.
Why the hesitation? Does she want to clarify that it is Steven, not Pink Diamond or Rose? Is there a chance he won’t be okay?
Or is there a possibility that the others won’t be okay, while Steven will be?
This is also seen at the end of the episode, where Steven is separated from the others and taken to what we can assume is Pink’s old room, a place that is most likely safe, as White Diamond took him straight there.
What happened to the other gems at this time? Where were they taken? And what is going to happen that has Garnet so uncertain?
So I attempted digitally drawing Garnet in ‘Mindful Education’ and I kinda love it tbh. What do you guys think?
