- once you start dating this guy, your expected to be eating with him often. Not expected, more like he moved on pretty fast and wants you too, he won’t force you of course.
-You’d also eat with some of the gems (mainly amethyst) sometimes but not too often.
-I feel like he’s a great chef. I mean we’ve seen the food he’s made before, I wouldn’t turn that down
-Sometimes if he’s feeling romantic he will make some candlelight dinner for you and him, roses and all. But that’s not often due to his tight schedule
G- Getting protective over you
-I feel like he’ll be very protective over you (like most of his friends, but more).
-He’s been through a lot and would rather not lose someone he loves dearly.
-He’ll get protective over you whether it’s another corruption(somehow), or human, gem, (Kevin too) or just anyone that seems like they could harm or take you away
-Of course he’s not some obsessive Yandere boyfriend, he just is worried about you. After all he feels safe and comfortable around you and loves you, he wouldn’t want to have you gone
L- Lounging around on a lazy day
-Rare, but fun. Due to his tight schedule for the week he doesn’t have much time to lunge around with you.
-But it’s fun when he does. You two would just be watching some cartoons he liked as kids and eating snacks (together breakfast/cookie cats).
-Also if you guys don’t want to watch tv then you’d play video games all day long, once pearl had to tell you two to go to bed since you were up till 3am playing the Legend of Zelda together
-Sometimes you’ll just cuddle. Just simply cuddle with a few kisses from time to time.
S- Sleeping over with you
-He was really excited to sleep over with you. He wasn’t the most nervous person about it but definitely a little anxious
-He’s like a big comforting Golden retriever. Hugging him and cuddling him is so comforting and helps you relax. He’s really gentle too
-It was a little awkward at first but you both got use to it after like 2 hours.
-You both will switch beds. Like sometimes he’ll sleep over either you and sometimes you’d sleep over at his place, mainly you like sleeping at his place cause his bed is very comfy*
W- Waking you up
-I think it’s a 50/50 he’s gentle and playful.
-Half the time he’ll gently shake you or kiss you over and over again softly, whispering for you to wake up
-Them other times he’ll scare the shit out of you to wake up, push you off the bed(not to hard), shake you, poke you, and all that.
-Sometimes you actually thank him for waking you up playfully since it really wakes you up for the day, though you definitely rather have Steven’s softer side wake you up
Could you do a Lapis x human reader where they are stargazing together??
Of course! It’s under the cut!
Beach City was….nice, at night. The stars freckled the sky and even from the barn, Lapis could hear the sounds of the waves down below. It was soothing. It gave her a sense of stability that she sometimes lost sight of.
She found solace in the sights and sounds of it all, so naturally, she wanted to share it with someone she cared about. Peridot didn’t quite have the attention span for it, nor did she really consider showing Peridot it when she too lived right in this strange in-between that felt so private and intimate with all that this planet had to offer. Peridot could figure it out for herself.
No, she was waiting for a certain someone. A certain person who always managed to make her smile, and someone she was content to just stand next to. Her very own ‘special someone’, as humans tended to put it. She waited outside of the barn patiently, staring out over the ocean, a thick dark line against the lighter navy blue of the night sky. Lost in thought, she hardly noticed the sound of a car approaching the barn, only looking over when the headlights beamed at her where she sat on her own….barn-slash-back-of-car.
A small smile formed as the other parked, and she gracefully slid down from the bed of the car and towards y/n as they got out of their own car. A grin was on their face as they hugged Lapis cheerfully. “Hey,” they half-whispered, as if them meeting up was a secret even though it really wasn’t. They pulled back from the hug to open the door to the back of their car, pulling out a large knit blanket before turning back to Lapis, “I also brought a thermos of hot cocoa since you said we were going to be outside. What did you want to show me?”
That feeling was back again. The warm and fuzzy feeling that would seed at her chest, and gradually filter throughout the whole of her body. Just looking at them, all bundled up to fight back against the chill of the ocean at night, cheeks a little pink from that very cold, Lapis was just so…so….she didn’t know how to word it. But there was this overwhelming need to hold them close.
“Heh, thanks. I don’t really get cold though,” she reminded them, tilting her head ever so slightly.
“I know that,” y/n replied, beginning to seem almost bashful, “I just…hot chocolate is always nice to have and this blanket is really soft and I thought I should share it with you.”
“Oh,” Lapis’ cheeks flushed a bit before her smile grew, “Thanks.”
Pressing a sweet kiss to her cheek, y/n smiled, “You’re very welcome. Now, what did you want to show me?”
Right. That was what they were doing. Lapis nearly forgot. Sliding her arms under y/n’s armpits, she made sure she had a good grip on her before her wings formed into their watery essence. “Alright, hold on.”
With the grace of a professional dancer, she touched off from the ground, powerful wings flapping and launching the two skyward. In their surprise, y/n couldn’t help but yelp and cling to the blankets they held, watching as they got higher, higher, higher. Up until they landed on the roof of the barn.
Once they landed, Lapis held them close to steady them, until y/n regained their balance and looked over at Lapis with a giddy smile. Flying always did that. Initially, it was terrifying, but once they touched down, there was always that inner child that screamed ‘again! again!’.
“I wanted to look at the stars with you,” Lapis finally admitted, wings disappearing behind her back again, “This is kind of my…happy place. You can hear the ocean, and the sky is really clear tonight so…” She gestured at them, “I wanted to share it with you.”
Y/n stared at her with wide eyes, that same happy warm feeling messing with their own insides. After a beat, a grin split across their face again and they pulled her into a tight hug, “Ohh my god Lapis. Thank-thank you. That’s so sweet, I-” God, the gesture itself was almost overwhelming. Y/n felt lucky. All kinds of lucky to even have met Lapis. What were the chances that they’d find someone so… so perfect in all the galaxy.
Lapis hugged them back, glad that they liked it. She was worried that maybe they’d find it boring or just want to go do something else. But no, they wanted to admire the stars with her and she just…she felt like she could burst right now.
Eventually receding from the embrace, y/n laid out their blanket on the shingles of the barn. As they laid down, Lapis sat next to them, staring up at the infinite stars in an even more infinite night sky. Blue fingers wound themselves in y/n’s hair as she combed through it, finding comfort in the contact of y/n being by her side.
But y/n wasn’t quite looking at the stars. Their eyes were on Lapis’ face. The look of content and happiness that sometimes felt so rare to them. It was something they wanted to see more. The kind of joy gained from sharing something you love. And it brought a nearly once in a lifetime happiness to y/n that they just couldn’t shake. Not that they wanted to.
After a good while, Lapis could just about feel their eyes on her, and she looked down at them, “What?”
“I just,” y/n sighed contently, “I love you.”
Feeling like that happy fuzzy feeling was taking over her body, she leaned down and pressed a kiss to their forehead gently, “Heh, I love you too y/n.”
The two returned their eyes to the stars, looking up at the beauty that was the endlessness of space. A space that was a world Lapis knew and a world that y/n couldn’t possibly grasp. Not that it mattered. It was a sense of wonderment to them both, and something that only drew them deeper in. It was…nice, as Lapis would put it.

Love.
One word, one syllable, four letters. A universal word that every language had, and in every language it meant the same.
Everyone felt love. Everyone loved someone. Love was a word that every teenager dreamed of saying to their "special someone". Children grew up telling their parents "I love you" and their parents returning the three-word phrase (while some children weren't as lucky). Friends would platonically say their "I love you"s. Even you had grown up saying it.
But just because you said it, didn't mean you understood what it meant.
Love was a finicky subject around you. You had tried looking up why you never felt the emotion love. All you got were sites saying that you maybe just hadn't found the right person yet. A handful of sites said that you might fall into the aromantic-spectrum. You didn't believe the latter; instead, you opted for not having found the right person. That was in ninth grade.
In tenth grade, while you listen to your friends drone on about how 'hot' someone was, all you could do was look at the picture of the person and simply shrug and say "I don't really see it but okay."
When you turned seventeen, you still didn't understand the concept of falling in love or finding someone 'hot'. One of the several people you were friends with on Tumblr finally sent you links to several websites, each explaining aromanticism and asexuality in detail. You had messaged them back, saying, 'I'm still not sure if this is who I am. I'll keep this in mind though. Thank you.'
About a month before your eighteenth birthday, you finally understood what they meant. Figuring out that you really were an aromantic asexual... It felt like something both in and out of place.
You were now a senior at your high school, sitting in your Pre-Calculus class with a blank expression on your face. Your teacher hadn't come that day, and instead had sent a substitute. So, you sat doodling in your notebook, thinking.
You had tried coming out to several people. Your friends at school? Only a few accepted you. The others just scoffed and said "You're nuts and boring, (y/n)." You hadn't talked to them since, obviously. Your friends on Tumblr widely accepted you. Your mother? Yeah... Not so much. You had tried explaining what aromantic and asexuality were to her. She had barely grasped the topic of aromantic and did not believe anything about asexuality. She just simply said that "you're not a plant, (y/n)."
And then, of course, there were the gems. You hadn't told them anything. Truth be told? You really didn't plan to. While you tried your hardest to be optimistic and think that they'd accept you and wouldn't treat you differently, there was always that small, haunting thought that kept popping back up. They won't accept you. They'll think you're nuts, just like the girls you used to call friends. So, for a while, you just opted out of telling.
However, more recently, more and more people in your school had found out about what you had labelled yourself as. "Aromantic?" they'd ask. "I don't believe it. You said you loved drawing, didn't you?" "Asexual? Pfh. What are you, a plant? A worm?"
All week, you'd been trying to find the confidence to go, find, and ask for help. And all week, your self-doubt kept coming back and saying that no one would help you. You were beginning to grow relentless though. You pulled your phone out of your (color) hoodie pocket and stared at the turned-off screen blankly before turning it on and unlocking it. You scrolled through your contacts and finally tapped on Steven's name.
Steven. He was like a little brother to you. You had met the gems through him. It had been awkward when you had first met them, but almost a year and a half later, you felt yourself close to the gems. You liked all of them, equally. Amethyst's care-free personality always stuck out to you. Pearl's tender carefulness hidden behind a teacher and a warrior. Garnet's toughness and ability to stay strong, no matter the situation. You had learned through Steven about Garnet being a fusion after he had been taken to space and honestly, you found it to be adorable. You'd have no idea at first glance that Garnet was a fusion of love. Mostly because she was so stoic and silent.
Taking a breath, you shot Steven a quick text asking if you could come over after school to ask Garnet something. You didn't have to wait long for a response. 'Yeah!!! I'll let her know!' he had responded. You couldn't help but smile at the fourteen-year-old's excitement. Steven was such a character and you loved him for it.
There the word was again. Love. Was it really love you felt for Steven? Of course, the friendly older-sister type love. Maybe it was just an affection for the younger boy. You did see him as the younger brother you always wanted.
The shrill sound of a bell ringing brought you out of your daze and you shoved your notebook into your backpack and your phone back into the pocket from which you had grabbed it. Slinging the bag over your shoulder, you walked out of the classroom and past your locker, deciding that you wouldn't need anything from it.
You began the trek to the nearest bus stop. A little over ten minutes later, you were walking down to the beach, heading straight for Steven's. You felt uneasy and began questioning yourself. You did have to ask someone. Maybe Garnet held the answers you needed? You hoped she did. Now, more than ever? You really needed them.
You made your way up the steps and knocked on the screen door. You heard the sound of someone falling onto the floor and you couldn't help but chuckle. Steven's excited face was soon seen behind the film of the screen door and you smiled, looking down at him as he opened it.
"(Y/n)!" he said excitedly. You laughed, placing a hand on his messy mop of brown curls.
"Hey Steve-dude. How you doin'?" you asked, stepping inside so he could close the door. You walked over to the couch and placed your backpack on the ground, turning around as Steven walked over to you. He was barefoot, you noted, which slightly surprised you. He usually wore his sandals wherever he was.
"I'm good!" he responded. "Garnet's in the Temple. One sec," he said. "Garnet!" he yelled, cupping his hands over his mouth to make his voice louder. You cringed slightly at how loud his voice was. "(Y/n) is here!"
You sat down on the couch and motioned for Steven to join you. "It'll probably take Garnet a minute anyway. Wanna tell me how you've been since my last visit?" you asked, an excited gleam in your eyes. You always loved hearing stories about Steven and his adventures. In return, you always told him about how your day was in high school. You were surprised about how excited he always was.
The two of you elapsed into an easy conversation. A few minutes after the two of you had been talking, you heard the Temple door open. You and Steven both turned to look at it. You watched as Garnet walked out of the door and your smile faded into a small frown. While talking to Steven, you had almost forgotten about why you had come here.
"Hey Garnet," you said quietly, offering her a small wave. You usually felt a tinge of awkwardness around the gems (you didn't know them as well as Steven did). Usually, you felt fine around them. Almost like they were family.
"Hello," Garnet responded calmly. Steven stood up and you heard movement. Turning your head, you and Garnet both watched as Steven pulled on his shoes and grabbed something.
"I'm going out to the boardwalk. You guys want anything?" he asked politely. You both politely declined and he left. The screen door slammed shut behind him.
You turned back to Garnet, who was now moving towards the couch. She sat next to you and you shifted a tad so that you could look directly at her.
"Steven said you wanted to talk to me about something," she stated in her usual calm approach.
You closed your eyes and took a deep breath. "Yes," you responded, beginning to regret coming here. "I..." Sighing, you began fiddling with your fingers. "For the past few years, I've been beginning to realize a few things about myself." You were struggling to keep your gaze on Garnet's mostly baby blue shades. "I... I don't understand the concept of 'love'. I know what it is. It just doesn't... Feel natural to me." Your gaze had dropped from Garnet to your hands. "A-and I don't feel attraction. Towards- towards anybody. I never have. One of my friends told me about something... Something called aromantic and asexuality. They- they said that that could be what I am. But I..."
"You need advice to know if it really is you," Garnet spoke. Her voice was calm, yet it sounded more motherly than it usually did (well, around you at least). You found yourself nodding.
You felt a hand on your shoulder and you blinked, looking up at Garnet. She had removed her shades (they were currently sitting in her lap), and her three eyes stared into two eyes. "Yeah," you whispered in a faint voice. Garnet simply offered you a small smile.
"I can assure you that it's a possibility," she said. "It's alright to not feel romantic or sensual attraction towards another person. It's alright if you let it define you." You blinked, eyes wide in surprise.
"But-"
"There are humans out there who are just like you, (y/n). Humans who don't fall in love with someone. Humans who don't feel attracted to other people, even though they feel everyone else is." You took a shaky breath, feeling your eyes become misty. "And even if they feel that way... It doesn't mean that they still can't find things they love. You could still love someone and not have any romantic attraction towards them."
You felt a tear escape your eye and Garnet pulled you into a hug. You broke into sobs, wrapping your arms around Garnet's waist, clinging onto her tightly. Garnet's left hand rested on the back of your head while her right hand rested on your back.
"It's okay if you don't feel like it's still you," Garnet said after a minute, as you began to calm down. "It might take time to come to peace with this truth."
"Even if it does," you murmured, sniffing, "I hope it's worth the wait." Garnet let you go and you did the same. Sitting up, you wiped at your eyes with the sleeve of your hoodie while Garnet put her shades back on.
"Hey, Garnet..." You said quietly, taking a deep breath. You looked up at the tall gem and offered her a genuine smile. "Thank you- for... For the support."
The fusion smiled gently. Before she could say anything, Steven entered the house, holding a bag (donuts? It didn't look like a bag from the fry shop). He glanced at the two of you and awkwardly stood there.
"Hey Steven," you said, offering him a smile. He stood in silence for a moment before smiling as well.
"I got you a doughnut! I didn't know what you liked so I just got you a plain one," he said earnestly. You laughed, an honest smile crossing your features. Garnet smiled behind you as Steven walked over, handing you the glazed doughnut.
"Thank you, Steven," you said, continuing to smile. The boy sat next to you on the couch and the three of you sat in silence.
As you headed home that day, all you could think about was how validated you felt. You felt like you had finally found out a piece of yourself. You finally felt like you weren't broken; not screwed up.
And as you closed your eyes to sleep, you couldn't erase the permanent smile that lingered on your face.
-Nervous boy. He’s really scared. He gets all hyped up and ready, but then gets nervous when he’s actually about to do it.
-He was so happy when you said yes, he started to cheer, then getting embarrassed after, but you told him it was fine.
F-Flirting
-Let’s all agree right here, he can’t flirt. Even if his life depended on it.
-Sure, he’ll compliment you and TRY to flirt, but as soon as you start to flirt with him, he just can’t bring the words out of his mouth.
H-Hugging
-Let’s all agree right here right now Steven gives the best hugs. Literally he will stop everything he is doing just to hug you.
-He LOVES to surprise you with a hug from behind. He always does it and will never stop. But, he also loves giving you normal hugs, although, they feel like they always have a little bit more love in them.
K-Kissing
-Gives you the softest kisses ever! He’s so soft with you.
-He liked to kiss you almost anywhere! Especially on your face. His favorite spot to kiss you has got to be on the cheek. While he likes being kissed on the lips.
-He’ll do something called a “kiss attack”. It’s when he sneaks up on you and kisses you a lot. Almost like a tickle attack, just with kisses.
Q-Quaraling with each other
-Getting into heated arguments is rare, but it still happens. When Steven was going through all his trauma, and slowly started to get corrupted by it, he tended to fight with you a lot more.
-He had issues going on so he’d start to argue when you say something that provoked it or reminded him about it.
-He’s scary when he’s mad. Like really scary. And the pink makes it worse. Your cried before and had to stay away from him for a while…he hated that..but understood you needed space.
S-Spending the night over
-He was so nervous the first night he spent the night with you. He didn’t want anything to go wrong.
-For the first few times he’d clean somewhere near you, but not on your bed. No matter how many times you tell him he can sleep on your bed, he denies it, thinking that he’s not ready to do that.
-But after a while, you two do sleep in each others beds. He often comes to your place since the gems can be loud, especially amethyst. But you two do go to his house too.
-You two have definitely double dated with Steven and Connie before. You four would go to some restaurant and chat all together. It’s almost like friends, just two couples.
-She actually enjoys it a lot. Like a lot. She sometimes will unfuse so ruby and sapphire can enjoy it too.
K-Kissing
-Definitely one of the best kissers. She loves to kiss your face. That being your cheeks, lips, forehead, jaw, under your eyes, anywhere!
-But she also likes to kiss you on your hands too, she thinks it’s very romantic.
W-Waking You up
-She wakes you up the most gentle ways possible. She’ll shake you lightly and whisper good morning in your ear. Sometimes she’ll kiss you awake.
-She loves to see your sleepy face, and she kisses it every morning you wake up.
If you're still taking requests for the ABC challenge, could you maybe do Jasper with G, H and R? I really like your writing so far! It's so fun and easy to get into!!
Yep! Also, I’m happy you like my work!
Character: Jasper
Letters: G,H,R
G-Getting Protective of you
-She’s very protective over you. Doesn’t matter if it’s an enemy or just a random person, she’s gonna get aggressive.
-If someone is bothering you and not leaving you alone, she’ll scare them into wanting their mommies.
-When an enemy is attacking, she’s gonna go for that person and keep hitting and hitting and hitting them until they poof.
H-Hugging You
-As you can tell, not the biggest hugger. Especially in public. She’s not the best hugger because, well she is HUGE compared to most.
-But she’ll hug you if your begging or just look like you need some affection. She usually picks you up and hugs you since it’s way easier than squatting down to hug you.
R-Rescuing you
-She’s ready to rescue you anyway. She’s very scary, I mean she’s forced a corrupted gem to fuse with her I’d be scared.
-She’s not afraid to get messy. The worse she can do to an enemy is poof them, she’s bad but she’s not a monster. She’d never shatter someone.
-She’ll run up to the door enemy and beat them before they could even lay a hand on her. After she’s done with that, she’ll pick you up and pretend like nothing happened.
