Highlighting El Señor @steviedread a true skateboarding pioneer & renaissance man. Especially for #blackskateboarders & all POC skaters. One of the first visible black skaters it was a time when a skater had to skate it all, vert, street, pools...everything. Music, art, cooking, surfing, collecting, and skateboarding, this is the mans man (I'm sure the ladys love him too,) grown man vibes... Encompassing the El Señor ethos... A great way & the perfect representative for our last 'highlighting' campaign post, support the ppl that paved the way for all of us to have a chance at making it. I remember looking at that @officialalvaskates ad in @thrasher and thinking, 'Wooow, theres a black skater ( #StevieDread ) the first skater top left & there's an Asian skater ( @art_is_tree aka #jefhartsel ) last skater bottom right & how ill they looked, it was like the illest 80's street/biker/but skater gang of the skateboard industry, which at the time I was about 10 years old... his style is so relevant now, w/ all the wacky 80's apparel Stevie always had the ill style.
