Chatted with Oma (he wrote his full name in my note book so I can remember it : Ogbaoma Awala) at St George’s swimming pool. We saw him last week. We actually see his whole family including his three siblings and parents quite often at the pool as Rachel reminded me. They are a lovely family, all very friendly. Oma is studying criminal law. I told him about my mobster days but did not convince him! Rachel took a photo of Oma and myself at the entrance of the pool as they were leaving. (See above)

SUNDAY 15th JANUARY 2017

Rachel posted the card to Phoebe & Sebastian on our way to our Sunday Swim.  Great  exercise for me, the swimming I mean not watching Rachel post a card!  I have always enjoyed swimming, in a pool more than in the sea unless the sea is really lovely and warm.  I lived in Brighton as a boy (Hove actually!) and learned to swim and dive young and I very much enjoy the weekly swim as does Rachel, which sorts out a Sunday morning. This morning the large pool wasn’t very full, which somehow makes a swim more satisfactory.  I did one dive badly and didn’t dive again.  For weeks I have been the only person to dive (only off the edge).

At home this afternoon I reorganized the freshly washed towels so that they can “air” in our bedroom which is warmer than the bathroom but not too warm.  Then I wrote this Diary Entry.  Now I have had supper I am going to bed before I fall asleep at the keyboard!
