Am writing this 11.30am Wednesday 23 August.
Yesterday, 22nd August, Rachel went to the hairdresser and she came back with a beautiful scarf (see above). I went with her to the DLR. I didn’t go with her to the hairdresser because I was pretty sure that the travelling and waiting would tire me unnecessarily. But I am used to her being here and I was disturbed by her absence so I must get used to it again so that I am fully prepared when she starts another job/assignment.
My inability to reliably remember virtually anything unless I have written it down and remember where it is written and remember to read it when necessary means that I had to ask Rachel this morning what else we did yesterday. The answer is that we stayed in the rest of the day. If I had been asked my muddled and forgetful mind would have remembered going somewhere but without any idea where that somewhere was!! (I know this because that is what it keeps on doing now!)
But now it’s tomorrow, Wednesday, as I am writing this. I have just phoned my son Thomas to wish him a happy birthday from me and Rachel. He told me that in fact it’s his wife Tracy's birthday and that she is at work but he will pass the greeting on to her!
