Penders was so proud of this one that he signed it
“Hooray, we’re responsible for genocide! High five, team”
Throughout this story you can find little (sic) notes in the dialogue. Those were meant to indicate that Gallagher’s bad puns aren’t typos in the script, but the letterer accidentally left all of them in. So that’s fun
When’s the last time I mentioned that I hate the way Gallagher writes, uh, every character
Gallagher’s writing gets a lot of slack compared to the other writers for being silly and pun-driven instead of convoluted melodrama, but Sonik’s unnecessary thought bubble here is a great example of how there’s this undercurrent of misogyny and general nastiness in all of his writing
Yes, it’s still going! They did two months in a row of this bizzare ‘90s Guardians of the Galaxy parody, just because Valentino and Gallagher wrote that series and they wanted to parody themselves. And Valentino didn’t even draw this one! They passed it off to Dawn Best!
In part 2 we also get Robotnik as Galactus. I mean, at least that’s a much more well known character who kids would recognize from cartoons and such
Fun fact: Sonic Mega Collection’s cover gallery censored Robolactus on this cover to avoid pissing off Marvel
Can someone please go back in time and handcuff Gallagher so he can never write Bunnie dialogue ever again
