Just an idea I had for a potential Future storyline in my Archie Sonic rewrite AU. Saleta (y'know from the Freedom Fighters of the Galaxy story that was just a Marvel rip-off) now has a whole new backstory and a bit of a makeover!

She now exists in the same time period as Silver, and crosses paths with him every now and then. Which also leaves options open for potential time travel related shenanigans too. Ya'll may also notice that Saleta resides in Onyx City, the dystopian city ruled by a shadowy Council, featured in the Silver Age story. This might give a little bit insight into her backstory.

While Saleta is a genuinely good person, believing she is a superhero out to protect the people from evil-doers, in reality she is the Counsel's enforcer, their loyal and obedient attack dog. The majority of the "villains" she fights are members of the resistance movement rebelling against their tyrannical government, that and any other undesirables the Council wants taken care of.

Conditioned from birth to be stupid and obedient, Saleta grew up to be extremely gullible and quite stubborn. Trying to convince her of the true state of things is like talking to a brick wall. And in the of chance she starts to piece thing together on her own, well, lets just say they have methods of putting a stop to that... After all, she's the team muscle and ought to leave the thinking up to others more suited to the task...

there's a lot more to Saleta's origin and the nature of her powers, but I'll leave it here for now :)
