And finally, before the annihilation of my object, the stick and ink workshop - something I was not very familiar with at all but came to learn and become accustomed to through the process of practice. My favourite was probably the half black and half white, where on white, I coloured in the negative space avoiding the outlines, and continued the light reflective rectangles on the black.
As you may have noticed by now, I adore using the aesthetic of ripped paper, especially when incorporating different colours - I prefer to use pieces of paper rather than simply colouring a section in as it gives more of a vibrant block or base colour, on which I could add onto too.
The last two drawings were an ‘impression’ of graphite on both black and white - I say impression because of how akin grey is to black yet shines at certain angles due to the inherent shiny quality of graphite, which I then outlined with black ink to make the shine a little more visible under camera.
Me and my hybrid kitty cat while being exhibited. Please excuse me in there too 😩😂
This was a huge peice that I am very fond of. 8ft - ink, coffee and acrylic. Slapped on happily with a stick and a random brush I found lingering about that had a nice texture.
Felt like dying after it was finished tho
