Is there a difference between your screaming.txt and owl.txt tags?
i changed my personal tag!! i just like owl.txt better B)
stilinskiisms i'm going at the end of july for an academic conference thing i was invited to!! first to dc and then to nyc.
Ooh Magritte and Renoir! :)
magritte: would you fall in love once and have it last forever, or fall in love many times but never settle down?
probably just once.
renoir: what has influenced you most with regards to your character?
growing up where i did, definitely; i wouldn’t be who i am without san antonio. also, everything i read and learned as a child.
I just googled it because I lead a thrilling life, and according to the national maritime museum it is neither am nor pm, but your options are 12 noon and 12 midnight. Which makes sense I guess because the m is for meridian, so like the midday line. So if it's 12 it's neither side of the line because it's over the line.
ah, this is the kind of logic i was hoping for! so 12 essentially IS the line. thank you for clearing that up :D
Re your Harrison ford post, the source I saw said he started flying in his 50s not 50 years ago.
thank you! I realized my mistake when I looked back at my post earlier & fixed it! He did indeed not start flying til he was 52.
Thanks, stilinskiisms!!

Oh dear, that's a lot of them, HERE WE GO.
1. Describe your comfort zone—a typical you-fic.
Well, it is definitely a plotty thing. And these days probably a monster in word count. There will be violence of some sort, probably someone is trying to kill one of the main characters and/or main character(s) is/are trying to kill someone else. There is crime!!!!!!!!! AND OBVIOUSLY SOMEONE HAS A TRAUMATIC PAST, but not TOO traumatic (usually). But by far the most likely thing is that I am messing with something you've seen before and making it different in a way that is both funny and tragic! It's going to be absurd but in a weirdly kind of serious way where you are able to go "yeah alright Character A turned into a turtle I can go along with this."
4. Which fic has been the hardest to write?
Well, Clepsydra is the answer just because of super major depressive episode in there. That was not fun. Keeping track of all the stupid plots was difficult too. Well, kind of. I feel like that whole end part with Reichard being like "OH MY GOD LOOK AT THIS PART WHY ARE YOU MISSING THIS" is kind of bad of me.
9. If you only could write one pairing for the rest of your life, which pairing would it be?
I have a lurking suspicion it's gonna be gnobook E/R. Now that I'm kind of like FUCK CANON WHEE it's even more tailored to my tastes. Dangerous times, dangerous times.
16. What do you look for in a beta?
When I asked annaroserae to be my beta, it was because I did not at all find her threatening. At all. Plus I'd been talking about my mom's cancer with her and stuff so I knew I could trust her, and most importantly, I actually knew she betas things!!! I HAVE NO IDEA HOW YOU FIND A BETA and I was like "oh I like her I'll ask her!" and things have been lovely ever since.
25. Which is your favorite site to post fic?
Oh man I love AO3. I love it so much. BACK IN MY DAY it was all on livejournal and you couldn't just do search options to find fic, and there were a lot of people who didn't put warnings on things, and by far one of my favorite things about AO3 is the tag system. Because some people really AREN'T good at summaries, but they'll have good accurate tags that tell me "okay these things are contained herein and I find these to be things I want to read" and that's really great. It's so great.
36. How many fic ideas are you nurturing right now? Care to share one of them?
WELL, mostly I am trying to focus on things I can get money for. Except idk what's going to happen with Fancy Hourglass aka STB book 1.5. Basically Fancy Hourglass would be legit political thriller with LAWS AND LEGISLATION (AND ALSO MURDER BECAUSE YAY MURDER) but AGAIN, I just keep fucking writing stupid terrorist boys and I need to STOP THAT, I need actual bookbook to be done for $$$ reasons. But yes. Fancy Hourglass idea most assuredly exists and is making me angry. i need to be done with that and i'm not and that is MOST DISPLEASING INDEED.
As for actual standard fanfiction type fic, there's one really big new thing that I find exciting, which stems from that "WHY IS NOBODY WRITING THIS?!?!??!?!" reaction I get. It's a little, uh, niche for interests, but they're my interests and I'm gonna write the ridiculous thing. And I'm REALLY not joking about niche interests. It talks about taxes and plumbing and shit. BUT HEY I'm enjoying it so if you're ever in the mood to read about taxes and plumbing this might be your kind of thing!!!!!!
