i like how ena definitely learned how to care about from her father, which is why she struggles so much in showing her love in conventional ways. shes brash and stubborn and harsh but deep down truly cares and loves her friends and would do anything in her power to help them, but by god she is so bad at communicating. her dad, in the same way, actually cares about her. he’s not a bad person like how she seems to portray him as, but he’s incredibly bad at communicating his care. he doesn’t want her to be isolated and feel mediocre for the rest of her life, he doesn’t want her to go down the same path of self resentment that he did. he’s so rude to her about her work because he wants to protect her. he’s going about it the completely wrong way and is actively hurting her, but he cares about her. and in the same way, ena unintentionally hurts or pushes away the people she cares about. pre footsteps, she was so pushy with mizuki that it scared them, that she was making them anxious and feeling trapped almost. anyways thank god she has meiko to make her realize that she needs to calm down. maybe her dad will also get a virtual singer to realize that he’s being an ass

Only about 15 to 20 minutes had passed before she heard a voice, asking if they minded if they took the seat next to her. “Mmmm, no, I’m...uh, waiting for someone,” she said, glancing up to see who was speaking, though it wouldn’t exactly change her mind.
