These are my questions:
what place makes you feel most comfortable?
name any personal eccentricity (habit/preference/hobby)
what has made you smile today?
if you could live anywhere... where would you live?
(because I can't really figure it out) why are you following me on tumblr?
favorite smells?
introvert to extrovert — where are you on the spectrum?
how often do you feel lonely?
story behind your URL?
lasting impression of a friend you don't frequently talk to anymore
song that's always getting stuck in your head
And I tag these people, who all follow me, because I've never talked much to them: harrolddodge, cloudodoodles, gossipheroine, stillnotweasley, pulchritudinous-gal, falling-justice, youfavoritesong, annonim, welaughedinthenight, carpethatdiem, knightwaangs.

How has Tumblr changed your life?
Enriched it, I suppose: the relatable text posts, the gorgeous pictures and GIFs, meeting people with similar interests. Also, I've always vaguely acknowledged that there are many people equally as, and more talented than myself, but personally interacting with them is very humbling. I like to think that this helps spur me on constantly as a writer, and as a teenager with still-nascent maturity.
Most memorable road trip/adventure/journey:
A week-long trip to Bangkok, Thailand when I was 11. First vacation on which my mom trusted my sister and I with carrying some local currency. I saw people curled up on ratty sheets by the roadside, and I refused to buy anything with my allowance. My dad was kind of frustrated and confiscated my money. In retrospect spare change couldn't have alleviated their poverty for long, but I was haunted by them.
Favorite color?
Don't have one.
Best thing that happened to you as a child:
Getting to keep the three surviving kittens from a cat my family fostered. We bottle-fed them from a couple weeks, and they're now 4 years old. The runt of the litter has renal failure (her kidneys were never properly formed, but we found out only recently); her sister pulls out her own fur because she's stressed by the other cats. Despite the hiccups, I hope we've done a good enough job as their surrogate mothers.
Invent your own make-believe world:
Off the top of my head? For reasons beyond me... futuristic Earth where overpopulation has led to people being banned from, well, fornication, and for that reason homosexuality is considered acceptable, and even a noble undertaking. Sort of reverse the current sexuality prejudices.
Favorite song lyric?
I go through phases of obsessing over different songs, but, from Live High by Jason Mraz: oh my, justifying reasons why / is an absolutely insane resolution to live by.
Favorite fictional character?
It's cruel asking me to pick just one from all the books I've ever read, shows/movies I've ever watched... Coincidentally from my favorite book of all time, The Book Thief by Markus Zusak: Rudy Steiner. He crushed on protagonist Liesel Meminger but never let that get in the way of being there for her when she's upset. He liked to pretend he was Jesse Owens; bit of a dreamer, but also very resilient, training hard to prove his mettle as an athlete at the school sports meet. He encouraged her to keep reading to calm their neighbors while an air raid was going on. They surreptitiously gave bread to the Jews being marched to a concentration camp in Dachau even though Rudy's large family was practically starving. (I could go on a lot here, so stop me now and go read the book. Really. Go.)
If you could live in any era, which would it be?
The '80s, for the music.
Favorite sounds?
Hmm. I like the sound of piano keys falling during live performances, hiding just behind the music. It ties the melody to Earth somehow, so I can keep up with it. I like the sound of bubbling water, and the scrape of cats' rough tongues as they groom themselves. Purring, too. Also, my parents' voices when they're in the next room not arguing — especially when I can't make out the words, because that way I'm not distracted by mundane things.
One wish for the world:
Despite the whole 'wishes are meant to be idealistic not practical' shtick... not going to wish for world peace or less stupidity et cetera. I'd wish that the world continues to survive the bad stuff, keeps bumbling along and evolving and growing. Lots of things could be improved — we need to save the Earth's species and stop people from killing each other over various prejudices — but I think the more we manage to overcome, the more we improve ourselves, so that we can tackle those problems.
Favorite quote:
Again, too many to possibly consider. But... from the poem Emerging written by R. S. Thomas: There are questions we are the solution to, others whose echoes we must expand to contain.
