This December it will be 6 years since TROS.

I still find it sad, looking back, how reylos were treated.

We were accused of misogyny, and supporting the abuse of a 'toxic' ship. We were accused of racism for shipping Rey/Ben and not Rey/Finn.

Ironically the treatment Rose received on the JCF was one of the worst examples of racism I've seen; one poster's comment that she was just a 'not Rey' love interest I found particularly repugnant.

We were accused of being fascists.

Even the news site Medium called reylo a 'white supremacist' ship.

And at the end of the day, it was all because we liked an 'enemy to lovers' 'ship'.

The fact that the ETL trope has been around for donkey's years doesn't make one jot of difference to these morons. It featured in Pride and Prejudice, written in the early 19th century, for crying out loud.

And I have noticed over the past few years a massive rise in the popularity of enemies to lovers romantasy.

Rebecca Yarros's sizzling and thrilling Dragon riders series is a fine example of this format, and I can highly recommend it.

And I might be wrong, but I suspect reylo has had a lot to do with the success of the romantasy novels.

Add to that the success of books which actually began life as reylo fanfics, and I wonder if Disney are regretting the day they gave in to the trolls, the toxics, and the wokesters. Because they essentially threw a potential goldmine away.

And because before the books, before the 'romantasy' fad....reylo was the first.

WE were the first.

And although our hopes and dreams crashed and burned a long time ago (or six years) in a a galaxy far far away...

We were the first.

Never forget that.

Sunsetting sucks

With the Season of Arrivals coming to close in the next few weeks, it is becoming more and more obvious that sunsetting is a terrible thing to do to Destiny. I know, beating a dead horse here. But the more that it’s said the more chances of this feedback getting back to Bungie. I can understand that some weapons are over-powered and need to have some competition or need to get tuned down. However, taking a weapon like Gnawing Hunger and putting a seasonal timer on it only to then have it come back in the next season and have the exact same stats and perks is a slap in the face to the player. Now there is no reason to feel attached to anything or feel accomplished by completing a long challenge like for 21% Delirium. I put time and effort into getting these things only to see them disappear and then reappear only a few months later. Why can’t I just use the one I got months ago with over 5k kills on it? Why do I need to re-grind for the same weapons and perk rolls? Why aren’t there NEW things to take the place of these old relics instead of making it THE SAME THING. I hope to see some better changes coming in Beyond Light. Is it enough to keep away? Not right now. But if it is the same trend in the later seasons after Beyond Light I can’t say I will find enjoyment in grinding the same activities for the same gear just so it has a different number and seasonal symbol attached to it.

10 years ago, after a painful playoff loss to Franklin, on my birthday, this here Applebees restaurant, this particular one, DIDN'T SING ME THE BIRTHDAY SONG OR GIVE ME CAKE! Even AFTER the majority of the girls told then it was my birthday! My very first road run at TKC - Won a Gold Medal

...and get a chance to take pictures with Bonda.

Yes. I push myself to run even the sun was towering over me. I can feel my skin burning and itching. Want to know what motivates me doing so? Here is the reason why.

I want to get the gold medal but ended up everyone got one. Still salty.

Best way to burn fat and get fit. Not to forget that my body aches too and takes up to 3 days to recover. 

Also, I feel really really grateful because the track was far way shorter than my previous school’s. If I can do it well in my previous road run, why can’t I do it now? 

Therefore, I found out that I need to have something i.e. dream and goal to keep me moving forward. However, it has to be realistic and suit our capabilities. Or else, we will be experiencing a pro-longed disappointment.
