Breath hitches in his throat. The words are like knives straight to his heart. He’d always been loyal to her, ever since they were wee kids. He’d always been right at her side, willing to go to the ends of the world for her.

No one can hurt him quite like Uma can & this? This is the worst betrayal of all. Blue eyes have widened, they are full of vulnerability. A sadness that he can not hold back. He feels & very much looks like a kicked puppy. It takes everything within him not to act like he’s feeling right now. Sad, broken, like he’s falling apart at the seams. He’s sure he’s not doing a good job at keeping himself together, he’s never been able to hide his emotions when he’s around Uma.

“.....What?” He’s just dreaming or he’d just heard her wrong. Something. Anything besides this!

     Looking over at the other curiously. Eyebrows furrowing slightly as she moved towards him. “About?” She asked, arms moving to cross over her chest lightly. She was now intrigued, wanting to know what he was talking about.

“In general,” Ben shrugged. His pencil twirled at his fingertips, a desperate attempt to let out any of the nervous energy. Honestly, he didn’t think he’d have to deal  with this so soon. “If you want me to just do half and bring it, that should be fine.”

Cailean didnt look up from his work when he heard the bell on the door ring, telling him that someone had just entered the shop. He was pretty good and telling people apart just by their footsteps, so as he finished of his last sentance he spoke before looking up at the girl. "Miss Uma, how may I help you?"

    Uma looked up at him, tears threatening to spill out.       No. She wouldn’t cry. She couldn’t cry. What kind of captain       does that? “No..” She mumbled, looking down, avoiding eye contact.    “I can’t do it.. I won’t.” She whispered, moving to turn away from him.         Why did she feel this way, why did she want to break down?       And just like that, a single tear trickled down her cheek. But he didn’t       know that. 

   “Uma...” 

His voice full of concern... He had never seen her like this before- He didn’t understand why she was hurting, but it saddened him. Reid just wanted to take all of her pain away. His hand reached over to cup the side of her face, lifting it up a bit so he could see.

   “It really is alright, I am here for you. If it makes you feel better- no one else has to know.”

He moves to catch her before she can hit the floor. acting as quickly as he can & yet she still hits her knees. That doesn’t stop him from kneeling down in front of her to wrap his arms around her and help her to her feet though.

“You don’t even gotta ask.” Because he had intended on staying with her whether she asked or not. “C’mon, love, let’s get you to bed.”

Being sick sucked! It isn’t often that Harry is sick, so it’s always that much more miserable when he is. Because he likes to be up & doing things instead of laying down, sick as a dog. At least he has Uma to keep him company, even if he keeps telling her that he’s fine & he doesn’t need her help.

She’s right, his hair is drenched in sweat. It’s an icky feeling but he does not have the energy to complain about it. The wet cloth over his forehead feels nice, it helps relax him, even if he’s still shivering at the same time.

The saltines go ignored with a mutter of ‘no, i don’t want to’. He shoves the crackers back at her but does not fight it when she moves to wrap her arms around him to hold him. “Don’t ya got a crew to run? I’ll be fine.”

    Feeling his hand turn to a fist she sighed. “Hey.” She said softly, moving to cup his hands lightly with hers. “Calm down.” Was all she said, as he looked into his eyes, trying to get him to pay attention to just her. “I didn’t come here to ruin your mood.” It was an apology in its own way.

    His excitement made her smile and she nodded, quickly standing to her feet. “Come now, lead the way.” She didn’t even have to think about it. “By the water? You don’t have to ask me twice.” It was her favorite place to be after all, the water.

     “I’m sure i’ll love it.”

It wasn’t her fault. Talking about Auradon always gets him in a sour mood. He shook his dismissively rising up from his seat. A smile gracing his face. 

   “You will, I can guarantee that.”

Before they left he offered out his arm for her to hold. His ingrained gentlemen manners coming out for a moment.
