Stella, what were you like in your younger years?
She had always been aloof and mistrusting of others. If you are wondering if she had ever been really happy, the answer is "no."
Some of it came from a traumatic experience when she was first brought to this world.
Another was when she and her kind where left in the care of the carapacians, and thought some had good intentions, but those in charge did not trust them at all.
But she had a job to do, a calling that was integrated into her mind that she needed to do.
And she knew she couldn't sit by idly.
