Did somebody get pissy with you about face-casting Ezra Miller aka gender variant trickster style icon as Eugenides, a gender variant trickster style icon? And for something other than the fact that he's too tall?
Lol naw...they weren’t being pissy or anything. They were focused more on the POC representation of Eugenides -- since he’s described as both brown and pale, there’s some discourse, and they were letting me know that there were some people in the queen’s thief fandom wouldn’t reblog my aesthetics because they thought I used a “white” faceclaim.
But I explained that I’d chosen Ezra Miller partially for exactly what you said -- his gender variant trickstering :D -- and partially because he’s ethnically of Jewish and European background, and does the whole “brown when sun, pale when no sun” thing that I think represents our favorite Thief perfectly.
Then they apologized very politely for not checking on Ezra’s background before messaging me, and I said thanks for being so polite about it, and now we’s all friends!
