I think one of the great things about archaeology is the multiple ways in which you can study the past. I'm hopeless at remembering specific dates. True though this kind of things is important from a culture-historical perspective. I find myself a bit thrown when dealing with historical sources etc.
Yes, exactly!! That’s one of my favourite parts of archaeology - it’s so broad, there’s genuinely a place for everyone. I’m not great at remembering dates either, honestly (and even more hilariously, I worked on a project about a WWI training camp.... and kept accidentally referring to it as WWII. I’m TERRIBLE at things like this) and I hate digging, but there’s still plenty in the discipline for me to do.
