Late. So very late. Charlotte thought that moving to a new city and away from her always late twin, meant she would finally be on time for something. Oh, how wrong she was. She could use her super speed, but she didn't want to draw attention to her hero side at the moment.

Rushing out of the elevator and into the lab, Charlotte walked up to the only person in the room and held out her hand.

"Dr. Banner? Hi, I'm Charlotte Allen. You're new assistant. I'm really sorry I'm late. There was...um...traffic."

The typical lie made her mentally scold herself.

Star and Bruce Fluff

Star had been working on her laptop all day. She wasn't paying attention to the time or anything else. She even accidentally ignored her husband.

She was lying on the couch when he finally decided to come bother her. She nearly dropped her laptop, but didn't fully care.

"Bruce!" She giggled.

Star didn't mean to disappear. She just meant to go on a week vacation to the Bahamas and then be back to New York to continue being a hero, but the vacation turned into retirement and the rest was history. The countless phone calls and text messages from Shield is what brought her back home.

At the moment, she was in her lab, too busy looking through paperwork, she didn't hear anyone come in. Sighing, she pushed some papers around trying to figure everything out. "What the hell happened while I was gone?" She questioned out loud.

Star was currently panicking. She was just told by Cyrus that Kai got hurt while the pack was dealing with a rouge creature. She didn't hear what it was. All she heard was that the youngest of the pack got hurt and then she stopped listening.

She was currently searching through the medicine cabinet, when she heard Bruce walk into the bathroom. Star didn't say anything as she knocked over a bottle from shaking too much.

It was no surprise that Star had a lot of scars from her time with Hydra. They littered her body. Some were noticeable and some weren't. She wasn't ashamed of them either.

One morning, she woke up to the feeling of Bruce tracing the ones on her back.

"I used to think they were ugly, you know." She spoke softly, enjoying the feeling of his light touches.

"You'd have a good time—" Clint reassured him. He visited Bruce planning to invite him on their upcoming family trip, thinking he would probably have more trouble saying no to his face in person than to his voice over the phone, "—and, more importantly, you'd keep me from losing my mind on that cruise ship. The second they find out we're coming, they're going to plan to put on that stupid musical."

He paused, "I'm not selling it very well, am I?"

Ever since Spencer came back from the dead, she's been cooking all day long. Star felt like her brother needed a big meal to make up for missing a lot. As she walked out into the dining room to place a newly finished dish, she noticed her fiance sneaking some food.

"Bruce? Sweetheart?" She asked in a sweet tone, slowly walking over to him and grabbing the wooden spoon out of her apron.

"Is this why I'm still here?" Bruce asked with a small smile. He was worried about his friend. His best friend. "You know they expect us to work."

"You're here for a great many reasons, Brucie; most important is keeping me company, though." Tony only felt a little guilty for monopolizing his lab partner's time. Honestly, any time with Bruce was a delight.

"Sure, they expect us to, but do we really care about disappointing them? I disappointed my dad decades ago and that only slightly bothers me, so why should I care about S.H.I.E.L.D.'s opinion of me?" He says flippantly, sitting atop Bruce's desk. "Besides, you could always play the whole 'green' card trick if they start asking questions."
