“Hoh. So she returns.” She would find upon entering their room the Caster, sat upon his throne in the middle of it. His hand rested against his chin, arm propped up via the arm of said throne. “You’ve surely taken your time on coming in, could it be you dislike my gift? Is that why you took your time?” It was a joke more than anything - after all, who would dislike a gift from him? Let alone, a gift made by hand!

There are a bunch of templates floating around but some people make their own. If you want one or a template for one I can make you one / give you the PSD!

Although he isn’t necessarily taken aback by her words, he does find her sudden compliment to be strange. He’s by no means going to complain about this - nor will he comment about its suddenness, he enjoyed being praised and praise is exactly what he was getting right now. Of course this means he was rather smug about it, as he usually is upon receiving compliments. Only, in this case, it was a bit different because it was his wife who praised him - so he feels a tad more satisfied than he usually would.

So, there he lays, on his side and in their (her) bed with his head being supported by the back of his hand. As she finishes her comments, essentially calling him ‘charmingly perfect’, a smirk that simply reflected his current attitude to all this.

“And, where did this sudden affection come from?” Ritsuka was one to often show her love for him, but using words such as ‘ethereal’? That wasn’t within her capability - or, so he thought. She acts foolish, but it’s a ploy, he knows that - she was an amusingly adorable woman most of the time, but she hid more than meets the eye. Regardless, he just nods his head in appreciation to  her words; but, before she could react, he’s now reaching over to her and taking hold of her chin, moving her head to properly stare straight into his eyes. 

“The fact I’ve fallen in love with you is a feat that truly goes to show your worth, you’re spot on as usual with the obvious statement of my charm, but it also helps that you are a woman that truly shines as bright as gold in my heart.” Leaning forward, the Caster presses his forehead to hers; gently cupping her cheek into his hand. 

“Ki murangen, Ritsuka.”

He hears out the Master of Chaldea’s demand, but replies with a quick & stern --

“No.” 

Unamused, he shifts his sitting position on the throne to where both hands now rested against its arms, staring down at the woman before him. “You’ve done well with your various tasks in the city, but don’t think go thinking that just because you’ve been acknowledged for your efforts that it gives you the right to storm your way into my Ziggurat and demand such foolish requests.” Sighing, Gilgamesh reaches over the throne down to a stack of tablets, picking the first one he could grab and bringing it in-front of him to read over. It was only a report of the tasks that have been completed today, so it wasn’t too big a read.

“Before asking me to not act so ‘nonchalant’, perhaps look at yourself first and see that you have cast aside your cares of getting hurt to save humanity. I am casting aside my cares of getting hurt for the people of Uruk, to ensure their safety.” Then, the King sets aside the tablet once he finishes reading. “Tell me, Ritsuka Fujimaru. Are you willing to continuously bruise to save humanity, or are you going to accept that in order to save it - you yourself must take a great deal of blows?”

Chuckling as he watches her expression furrow, Gilgamesh rests one hand against his chin but continues his unamused expression.

“You have no room to tell a King what he should or shouldn’t do. I will decide when it’s time to stop acting nonchalantly about ‘getting hurt’ or even killed. Even if I were to die, I have much to do in this life of mine - I have many people relying on me, so I would simply find a way back. The Underworld is like a child’s playground to me; surely I’d be able to bargain with that wretched Queen of Kur.” Laughing at this statement, he stands from the throne and begins to approach the Master. 

“However, as a thanks for your efforts in Uruk, I will take a small break and accompany you into the city. Be grateful!”
