Parade of Nations - Saint Kitts and Nevis

    St. Kitts and Nevis formed its National Olympic Committee in 1986 and participated in its first Olympics as a country at the 1996 Atlanta Summer Olympics. They haven’t hosted any Olympic Games, but they’ve participated in 6 Summer Games and no Winter Games. The Olympic sport in which St. Kitts and Nevis has competed is Athletics.

    “The name of the landscape that is arranged in the center is South Peninsula. The north-south view of the island divides the Atlantic Ocean on the left and the Caribbean Sea on the right. It is a symbolic landscape of the fusion of different cultures on the island. The building is the Brimstone Hill Fortress, a World Heritage Site. The national flower phoenix (Poinciana), plumeria and cattleya. National bird pelican. "Petroglyphs" are drawn on the chest and back like a family crest. It is a work that you can feel the history of the author's history of this country.”[1]

    “Taking advantage of the high degree of freedom in design, which is also a feature of tapestry, the entire obi is constructed to form a single picture. The ribbon that flutters throughout is inspired by the festival costumes that represent the sugar cane harvest and the Japanese auspicious pattern "Noshi". Indigenous Karinago rock paintings and national-colored Madras checks are woven into the ribbon.” [1]
