Happy World Burlesque Day! Here's a shot from my very first solo way back in 2008. Photographer unknown maybe Rocky. This is the routine that originated my name. The name was the only thing I kept and I never did this routine again. I took classes for two years before this performance. I joke that I have the equivalent of an associate's degree in burlesque and it cost me just as much. Of course now I teach after solo performing for over a decade. Rehearsing a burlesque routine I haven't done in nearly 10 years. This was the song that made me want to do burlesque in the first place and was one of the first routines I choreographed. This routine will be my final number on The Way Out stage. Which I don't think could be a more fitting tribute. I'm both excited and sad for this day to come. So come celebrate my birthday, Bobbos Birthday, Ellen's Birthday and the end of an era.
